🎉 Grateful to everyone who contributed at the IxDA Atlanta Discussion Group meetup on Tuesday! We explored the significance of workshops in UX design, highlighting their value in several scenarios: Tackling Complexity: When challenges escalate in complexity, having a subject matter expert onboard is invaluable, enabling the team to navigate intricate issues effectively. Embracing Diverse Perspectives: Diverse viewpoints from team members and users fosters richer insights and innovative solutions. Securing Stakeholder Buy-in: UX workshops serve as catalysts for securing stakeholder buy-in, pivotal for propelling projects forward. Fostering Creativity: UX workshops ignite creativity, sparking novel approaches and out-of-the-box thinking. Building Strong Teams: Beyond project outcomes, UX workshops double up as tools for team building, forging stronger bonds and collaborative spirit amongst team members. How do you use workshops to improve your design process? #IxDA #UXDesign #Collaboration #Innovation #Teamwork

Community Economic Development Planner - Piedmont Triad Region at the North Carolina Department of Commerce
I'm looking forward to participating in this panel discussion in May! As a young professional who was empowered by experienced mentors who treated me as a valued peer, I am so appreciative of vision-focused leadership where the opportunity to learn from people with different perspectives, no matter what age or background, is embraced. Smart leaders live with a growth mindset and know there is always more to be learned.
✨ We're thrilled to announce our partnership with Surry County Economic Development Partnership and the Foothills Young Professionals for this fantastic event! Looking forward to collaborating and making it a success. RSVP HERE: https://lnkd.in/gCgf9i6k

Very interesting insights around philanthropy and narratives. Thanks for sharing these Mandy Van Deven!
I'm grateful for the invitation to moderate a panel where Paco C. (Asia Foundation), Bruno F. Duarte (Open Society Foundations), Medina Haeri (Oak Foundation), and Ivens Reis Reyner (Nebula Fund) reflect on funding practices that strengthen narrative change efforts — and sector norms that stand in the way. I invite you to share my reflection with others who may find value in their discoveries: https://lnkd.in/eGtUxjhz (Shout out to Chiara K. Cattaneo, Isabel Crabtree-Condor, Nishant Shah, Mónica Roa, Mumbi Kanyogo, Shanelle Matthews, Jody Myrum, Erin Lynn Williams, Annie Hillar, Jocelyn Ban, Anasuya Sengupta, Bayingana Simon Peter, and Zaineb Mohammed for listening and offering loving critiques that I’ve done my best to incorporate here. All knowledge is collective knowledge no matter whose name is in the byline.)

Ethics, we got that covered right ✅️ We are code compliant. Ethics are not regulations and compliance. Ethics require us to respond to situations we don't have guidelines for. Then what? Ian MacQuillin MCIOF(Dip) will help you start thinking about the things we need to be thinking about. Doors close at 5pm tomorrow for Melbourne. Don't let the door close on the chance your chance to learn and ask the moral 'what if's'. #moral #guidance #ethics #regulation
I’m attending and presenting at the two upcoming Fundraising Nest events in Melbourne (9 September) and Auckland (20 September) at which I’ll be exploring my favourite topic of fundraising ethics. If you want out find out more about Rogare - The Fundraising Think Tank, and just how is it that ethics is such a neglected subject in our profession, check out my Maven Time chat with chief Nester Michelle Berriman. You might even hear my cat Stellar chirruping on my lap. #NestFest2024 https://lnkd.in/exJcfXXr

#Harvard TGIF - New Focus, New Venue If you are interested in lively conversation and networking with fellow alumni, join us for TGIF. We meet on the third Friday of each month. Date: Friday, January 19, 2024 Time: 5pm (and typically running until 7 or 7:30 - so it's ok to arrive later) Place: NEW VENUE Yankee Doodle Tap Room in the Nassau Inn, Palmer Square, @Princeton, NJ 08542 At our December TGIF, we discussed the focus of future TGIF's. Should they remain part of our Entrepreneur's series (Breakfasts on the 1st Friday, TGIF on the 3rd Friday). Or should we expand the focus to non-business topics - a what's-on-our-minds discussion to wrap up the week. We decided on B. So Entrepreneurs and Angel Investors - please continue to attend. (But remember, we're moving to the Yankee Doodle Tap Room). We will discuss innovations and opportunities. But other alumni should join us as well. We have been discussing Israel vs Hamas and Harvard's reaction, DEI and it's role on campus, and other topics of interest. You'll hear and air differing points of view in a collegial, respectful and good humored environment. Join us to celebrate the end of the week and the start of new connections! Our HARVARD TGIF is an informal gathering on the third Friday of every month for Harvard University Alumni to meet, toast, connect, and share ideas and opportunities. ANY QUESTIONS, SUGGESTIONS, OR REQUESTS? Contact Fred Fritz at ffritz@neurodx.com. Organizer: Fred Fritz Cost: There is no charge for this event. Your only expense is your bar tab. Registration: None required but please email Fred if you plan to attend so he can give the venue a headcount Dress Code: Wear something crimson/burgundy
