So many people love the Fundraising Nest design and branding. It's fun, recognisable, and has connected and flocked a community of nesters. And they do say if you have a brand that you can have a bit of fun with, lean into it! (And we certainly get chirpy at any opportunity 🐣🐤🐥) That's why we love Adrian Bologna MFIA. As an Art Director and designer for Precision Group, with over a decade of experience in donor-centric design, Adrian has learned that successful campaigns are not just about good design, but about building deep, emotional connections with donors. At the heart of this approach is the understanding that people give because they want to make an impact, and it's Adrian Bologna MFIA job to make that connection feel personal and meaningful. Thank you Adrian Bologna MFIA for your brilliance that's always helping us to Fly Higher ! 🗞 Read all the chirps and tit bits Adrian Bologna MFIA has shared here 📩 https://lnkd.in/g-entRPh

In the last year or so, the key leadership agenda I've been banging on about is the need for organisations to create LONG-TERM Strategies and Budgets when they have a Growth target. It blows my mind 🤯 that an org will come to Parachute with a BIG AMBITIOUS growth target but only have budget for 1 year. For GROWTH, we need to have a 10 year strategy and break that down into Years 1-3, 5 Years and 10 years. And the investment needs to be agreed for that period too. And if you're growing in income, that means growing in supporters and Donors. So for every $ dollar and FTE that is allocated to acquiring new supporters and income, we need to budget at LEAST 30% of that on retention and donor care. In #fundraising, Retention starts with Acquisition. Get the right people in the door, and make them feel appreciated and show them the impact they're making on the cause they care about.

This week we've had a bunch of enquiries from charities wanting to GROW 📈 their organisation - in the number of people they reach/ the impact they make/ the size of their programs - as well as in income 💲, in brand awareness 👀 🧠, in number of clients or supporters 👫. These are MEDIUM TERM GOALS at best - but the program investment is only for the next year. How can you/ we grow an organisation, sometimes the target is to DOUBLE in size, but there is only a 1-year strategy and budget? Acquisition and Growth requires investment, over a long period of time and ideally ongoing. As a sector, we MUST build longer-term strategies than 1 year, we must have longer KPIs and partnerships and budgets.

More wise Chirpy tit bits from the Nest . Listen as Harvey McKinnon shares how there is lot to know and learn on how to start a monthly program, even modestly, and for organizations that have really well-developed programs, there's a bunch of things on how to get donors to give you more money, how to upgrade donors, how to get legacies. Harvey has done tons of research on this, and lots of case studies with clients, ranging from national organizations, small organizations, universities to hospitals, and what they have discovered is that monthly donors are your top #legacy prospects. By identifying people who become monthly #donors, they either are predisposed to loving you or they grow to #love you by having that ongoing #relationship. But whatever it is, there's so much more money that will come from monthly donors, even after they die that, you know, it's so important to invest in this. Thank you Harvey McKinnon for sharing your wisdom. Hey, would you be interested in learning more about decision science? listen to Cherian Koshy who describes how decades ago, Dr. Moskowitz Harvard PhD, developed this science to help understand how people really prefer certain things and mostly in consumer goods. So a spaghetti sauce company contacted Howard to find out what do people really want in spaghetti sauce and what they thought, the marketing folks thought, was that everybody sort of wanted this platonic ideal of spaghetti sauce, a very generic spaghetti sauce. And what Howard discovered through a lot of testing is that no, in fact, there was a huge number of people who loved chunky spaghetti sauce and if you go down the aisle in the grocery store you see all these varieties of spaghetti sauce because of Howard. This is the science that he developed, which is mind genomics. And so the excitement about this is? Could we understand what makes donors prefer to give to a certain cause or prefer to give in a certain way or to a particular idea? Cherian Koshy you are the most insightful and inspiring human.

The demand for high-quality, personalised print services is growing rapidly, so when it came to purchasing a new print machine, we knew we had to have the best in the market. With the installation of Kyocera’s TASKalfa Pro 15000c, our production capacity has increased, offering greater flexibility and reliability in printing operations while maintaining cost-effectiveness. Our General Manager (and the surprising darling of the camera) Nick explains more in the comments below.

Sometimes I say things that make sense. Sometimes they are even caught on camera! This short from my Fundraising Nest #MavenTime conversation with Michelle Berriman made me smile. As we close out the week, I hope it can bring a smile to you, as well. And maybe, just maybe, it gives you a nudge to write a new story for yourself.

An experienced for-purpose founder, leader and director focused on philanthropy, equity, community and moving resources more effectively to where they're needed most.

If you've worked with me before, you'll know I'm passionate about #philanthropy and making sure funding opportunities are equitable and easy to access. Our current funding system, as a whole, is neither of those. It's hard to find the right funding opportunities, it's time consuming to make applications and keeping up with I am so excited to be developing a new tool to help combat these challenges alongside Joshua Vial, Rod Macdonald and Alanna Irving. We're building Fundsorter, a product designed to make contestable funding easier. Our tool will discover the right funding opportunities, draft the funding applications, and provide reminders and updates on reporting, opening dates and new funding opportunities that align with organisational aspirations. This is a very practical tool to help reduce the funding burden and support organisations to spend time, energy and pūtea more effectively. We're currently working with a small number of partners to test our prototype and we're hoping to have a product out in the world early next year. We'd love to launch with a bang, so sign up here to get notified when we go live! Or ping me a DM if you have questions :) https://lnkd.in/gQXTajd8 Huge thanks to everyone who has chatted to us about Fundsorter so far! #fundraising #nonprofitleadership #technology #techforgood #fundingburden Philanthropy New Zealand Philanthropy Australia Michelle Berriman Sinead Kirwan Latesha Hearth Cheryl Reynolds Jenny Gill, ONZM Devon Murphy Dr Christina Howard Rahul Watson Govindan Marianne Elliott Hui E!
