How big is the avionics repair station industry? According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, avionics technicians accounted for 20,800 jobs in 2022. So there are 8 billion human beings, 336 million people in the United States, yet only 20,800 individuals work as avionics technicians in the U.S. Armed with this data, how do you communicate your company’s brand to a relatively small number of avionics professionals? As the AEA’s monthly publication and the largest, single representation of approved maintenance organizations in the world, Avionics News is the best answer. With a print circulation of approximately 10,000 subscribers and more than 30,000 readers, Avionics News also receives more than 600,000 page views annually in its web-based digital edition. To be a successful business, you must be present to win. So if you’re not here within these pages, exactly how and where are you reaching the #avionics community?
Each year in the month of July, thousands of extra copies of Avionics News are distributed from the AEA’s booth at EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, and this year will be no different. Often dubbed the world’s greatest aviation celebration, nearly 700,000 aviation enthusiasts and more than 10,000 aircraft arrive at Wittman Regional Airport, making it the busiest airport in the world during the event. Many of those attendees will visit Hangar B to pick up this magazine as well as the AEA Pilot’s Guide, July 22-28. An Airbus 380 is on its way across the Atlantic. It flies consistently at 800 km/h at 30,000 feet, when suddenly a Eurofighter with a Tempo Mach 2 appears. The pilot of the fighter jet slows down, flies alongside the Airbus and greets the pilot of the passenger plane by radio: "Airbus, boring flight isn’t it? Now have a look here!" He rolls his jet on its back, accelerates, breaks through the sound barrier, rises rapidly to a dizzying height, and then swoops down almost to sea level in a breathtaking dive. He loops back next to the Airbus and asks: "Well, how was that?" The Airbus pilot answers: "Very impressive, but watch this!" The jet pilot watches the Airbus, but nothing happens. It continues to fly straight, at the same speed. After 15 minutes, the Airbus pilot radios, "Well, how was that? Confused, the jet pilot asks, "What did you do?" The AirBus pilot laughs and says: "I got up, stretched my legs, walked to the back of the aircraft to use the washroom, then got a cup of coffee and a chocolate fudge pastry." The moral of the story is: When you’re young, speed and adrenaline seems to be great. But as you get older and wiser, you learn that comfort and peace are more important. This is called S.O.S : Slower, Older and Smarter. Dedicated to all my friends ~ it’s time to slow down and enjoy the rest of the trip😎🥂🛩️ Lets GO✔️ Author Unknown & Copied from another website

#throwbackthursday - #advancedairmobility in the 2010s: The Airbus Helicopters Eurocopter X3. As the Airbus RACER is prepared for its first flight, it's a good time to reflect on the X3 which first flew on September 6, 2010 and on May 12, 2011, the X3 exceeded its speed target when 232 knots (430 km/h) was attained in level, stabilised flight. https://lnkd.in/gTMFjeeu

I have a 2-seater sports car, and I have a luxury SUV- they ARE NOT (always) interchangeable- The right solution for the right problem is not always readily apparent, but taking the time to target that usually always results in greater successes! And if you are lucky, a coffee and a pastry! :-)

The Airbus A300 is Airbus's first production aircraft and the world's first twin-engine, double-aisle (wide-body) airliner, developed and manufactured by Airbus from 1971 to 2007. The A300 has two underwing podded turbofans. 561 of the A300 was built between 1971 - 2007. The first twin-engine widebody airliner, the A300 typically seats 247 passengers in two classes over a range of 5,375 to 7,500 km. Initial variants are powered by General Electric CF6-50 or Pratt & Whitney JT9D turbofans and have a three-crew flight deck. Unlike most Airbus products, it has a yoke, not using a fly-by-wire system. First flight was 28th October 1972, was then introduced to Air France on 23 May 1974.
