In my latest column for the Deseret News. I make a case for Utah's universal vote by mail. The best, peer reviewed literature shows it is secure, doesn't change partisan shares, but boosts voter participation.Fun to explain difference-in-differences, public choice, and status quo bias in a column.https://https://lnkd.in/ehdB_kuP

Today is #NationalVoterRegistrationDay, and it’s a day that truly matters. While many awareness days come and go, this one is crucial for ensuring our voices are heard and our communities are represented. From legacy civil rights organizations like the National Urban League to the Divine 9 and beyond (#soartothepolls), organizations across the country are mobilizing voter registration efforts. This is your reminder to take action today. Even if you believe you're already registered to vote, it's essential to double-check. Voter rolls are often purged, and errors can happen. Being proactive is the best way to safeguard your right to vote. Here are some upcoming voter registration deadlines: ✔️ New Jersey: October 15 (online registration available) ✔️ Pennsylvania: October 21 ✔️ Maryland: October 15 ✔️ Washington, D.C.: October 15 ✔️ Virginia: October 15 ✔️ Texas: October 7 ✔️ Florida: October 7 Need more resources?
