Happy International Women's Day! This year, we celebrate it under the theme Inspire Inclusion; revisiting the essence of accepting, understanding, valuing, and actively promoting women's inclusion in all facets of life. As a woman in tech, I am deeply passionate and proud of the progress made in terms of diversification and women empowerment in the tech space. I celebrate, together with my fellow women in tech, our achievements and I wish to inspire any woman out there to join us as we make our mark in this exciting industry! The tech industry has witnessed remarkable advancements in recent years, with innovation driving progress on a global scale. However, the gender gap in tech remains a significant challenge. Women continue to be under-represented in various tech roles, from engineering to executive positions. On this special day, I encourage all to reflect on the strides made and to double our efforts to attain equality and inclusion in the tech world. For women in tech, the journey often begins with embracing our unique perspectives and understanding the valuable contributions we bring to the table. As women, we must push ourselves to establish a sense of belonging, relevance, and empowerment in the tech space. By acknowledging and publicizing our achievements, no matter how small, we pave the way for a more inclusive industry. Inclusion begins at the recruitment stage, where companies can adopt policies that encourage the hiring of women. By building diverse teams, organizations benefit from a rich tapestry of ideas, experiences, and perspectives that drive innovation and creativity. One of the most powerful ways to inspire inclusion is through mentorship and the presence of visible role models. As women in tech, we can play a crucial role in mentoring the next generation and sharing our experiences. By creating a supportive network, we pave the way for younger women to envision themselves thriving in the tech world. Inclusive work environments are essential for retaining and advancing women in tech. Companies should value diversity, provide equal opportunities, and actively work to eliminate biases. Flexible work arrangements, mentorship programs, and initiatives promoting work-life balance contribute to an inclusive tech landscape. Inspiring inclusion in the tech world also involves encouraging young women to pursue STEM education. By providing educational opportunities and outreach programs, we can break down barriers and ensure that women have the skills and confidence to enter and excel in tech careers. Today, let's commit to inspiring inclusion in the tech world. Whether you're a seasoned professional or just starting your journey, remember that your voice matters, your contributions are valuable, and your presence is essential. Together, let's forge a better world where women in tech feel included and are celebrated for their achievements and unique perspectives. #IWD2024 #InspireInclusion #womenintechcommunity #womenintech

"The tech industry has historically been skewed towards male dominance, but we are beginning to witness a shift towards inclusivity. However, it's clear that huge efforts are still required to fully support and empower women.“ Our Chief People Officer, Karolina Plaskaty, answered TechRound’s question: "How can the tech industry better support women?”💡 Karolina states: “the importance of early education cannot be overstated. Introducing girls to technology and encouraging leadership at a young age can significantly level the playing field, ensuring they view themselves as future leaders and innovators within the tech landscape.” At Varda, we’ve established a dedicated group called ‘Vardianas of the Galaxy’ that meets on a regular basis to focus on supporting, listening to, and empowering our female colleagues and organise talks that offer learning opportunities for the whole company. We aim to continue to reinforce our commitment to create a collaborative and inclusive work environment for everyone. 💚 Read the full article here: https://lnkd.in/eYN_nWZz #IWD #empowerment #agtech #technology #collaboration #regenerativeagriculture

The State of Women in Tech 2024 is out! 💡 A report conducted by Women In Tech Sweden, this year based on the voices of 1,600 members and which I believe presents eye-opening, key insights as to how the industry is performing in regards to diversity, inclusion and equality topics ⚡ 💪 Thrilled to see a recurring finding: The number of women considering to leave the tech industry is continuously decreasing. However, with 19% of respondents contemplating a career change, it's clear there is more work to be done. 👩💻 "Constant learning and intellectual challenge" places at the top of reasons why women thrive in tech. This resonates deeply with me as it's one of the main reasons I transitioned into tech - looking for something that felt more engaging and dynamic. 💜 Valid mentioning also: the flexibility in work-life balance the industry offers AND the support of local communities where I am able to volunteer, mentor and feel part of something greater than my 9-5 job. ⚠ Super important to see this topic raised as part of the discussion: "Invisible work expectations is listed as one of the top reasons women feel treated differently". Definitely a recurring topic during conversation with peers - How can we address invisible work as an inequality in the workplace? I encourage everyone to dive into this report: you'll find not only a glimpse into the experiences of women in the Swedish tech industry, but also actionable recommendations based on the different findings 👇👇 https://lnkd.in/d2uu8Hyw

Prokuristin & COO at Techstarter GmbH - A startuper and entrepreneur by heart - Processes, Strategy, Execution and Team Management.
As a woman in tech for almost 15 years, I've come to appreciate the immense value of inclusivity in driving innovation and success in the tech industry. Creating a culture where diverse voices are heard and valued not only fosters creativity but also strengthens our team and our outcomes. Inclusivity isn't just a buzzword—it's a fundamental principle that guides our leadership and operations. It ensures that everyone, regardless of background or gender, has the opportunity to contribute and excel. I'm proud to be part of a company such as Techstarter GmbH where the majority of #leadership is female and paves the way for more women in tech by teaching them in our IT-courses. Together, we're building a future where everyone can thrive. #Inclusivity #WomenInTech #Leadership #TechInnovation #Diversity #Operations #Education #IT
