Did you know that byproducts from manufacturing processes can lead to issues such as corrosion and peeling paint on your facility's surfaces? Often, plants overlook these continuous maintenance issues due to their inability to shut down or disrupt production, leading to early asset failure and requiring replacement. However, when Sponge Blasting, most facilities can do their required surface prep without the need for a shut down, minimizing downtime and disruptions. The story of the Shake Table Test that Changed Everything continues... Well, the dramatic failure of the mechanical attachment to the 1000 lb. unit on the PEER shake table surprised everyone. How would the Safe-T-Proof fastening system fare in a similar test? We're talking 45 seconds of intense shaking. How intense? I am no engineer, so I can only speak to this in non-engineer terms. We had five intensities to choose from when it came to performing the test. These are represented in the chart below. Since we were not going to be able to swap out for fresh fasteners after each test, we decided to start things off by testing at the mid-range (#3) of the five tests, the one called the "975 Year Recorded" shake table test. Cameras were positioned, the unit and fasteners were in place and the test began...the exact same shaking that launched the freezer right off the shake table, using traditionally accepted fastening methods mind you, just minutes earlier. How would the Safe-T-Proof fasteners perform? The story will continue next week...

What do you do when your plant stops working? 😨 We often get phone calls from panicked and stressed customers, experiencing issues with their plant. Sometimes these issues can be so small and simple to fix, but the thought of downtime and angry customers can make even the smallest of issues feel overwhelming. That's why we strongly recommend that our customers stock a range of paint plant critical spares to ensure that their plant gets back to being fully operational in the event of unplanned component failure. We can recommend what spares to hold, and most times supply from our existing stock. Stocking critical spares ensures that in the event of a breakdown our engineers can get you back in production in the shortest possible timescale!

Maintenance is not about fixing broken things only but also prevent them from breaking. Here is a comparison between spare parts consumption for a steel production line (one of 3 lines which i'm responsible for)in 2022&2023. I can proudly say that i made a reduction in spare parts cost by 58% which equal 700k Egp.
