Check out the latest issue of Newsweek where our own Johan Jansen-Storbacka, Director Personal Care, IFF, shares his thoughts on what’s next for the Personal Care industry. While demand for more sustainable products continues to rise, consumer doubt remains that “eco-friendly” products aren’t as effective as traditional ones. Johan emphasizes the need to break this "trade-off" between efficacy and sustainability, to propel the industry forward. 🌍 At IFF, we’ve been working on just that: our ground-breaking Designed Enzymatic Biomaterial (#DEB) technology platform represents a new way to make high-performance, biobased materials from the enzymatic polymerization of simple sugars, which are highly-tailored for a range of applications in home and personal care — and beyond. 🤝 The alternative protein industry needs to be far more collaborative to reach its commercialization goals. 🌱 This is the view of Laine Clark, The Good Food Institute's Senior Corporate Engagement Manager, Innovation. "Collaboration is the path to fueling R&D, establishing adequate infrastructure, driving state and federal support, maintaining a robust supply chain, expediting time to market, and accessing large pools of capital," writes Laine. "The key is to think of collaboration as a force multiplier for reaching milestones. Working with a partner or partners can reduce costs, provide access to inputs and equipment, avoid redundancies by using existing solutions, and add credibility." 📰 Read more in Laine's latest column for the Protein Production Technology International: https://hubs.ly/Q02B4Lcn0 #collaboration #alternativeprotein #innovation #futureoffood

🤝 Anna Altner came back last week from the Rethinking Materials event feeling particularly inspired and energized after 2 days of insightful meetings, presentations, and discussions. The event focused on new materials and solutions with the potential to replace plastics and enhance #sustainability which aligns perfectly with Yangi's ambition: delivering a seamless and pain-free transition for brands and packaging producers to adopt our dry forming technology, Cellera, supporting them in achieving their #netzero targets, sooner rather than later. Here are her key takeaways from her time in #London: ✅Brands are showing significant momentum. ✅Innovative solutions are essential. ✅Collaboration within the value chain is vital for commercialization. ✅Addressing this complex challenge is not easy; industry and investors must collaborate to support startups and foster new innovations. 💛💭Thank you to the Rethinking Materials team for allowing Yangi's Founder founder to share her thoughts during the panel discussion on paper-based packaging, guided by Peter McGeough from Aptar alongside Romain Metivet from Cellulotech, Alex Pitsinos from Matrix Pack Group, Caroline Locre from @blueoceanclosures and William Connolly from Diageo

Analyzing seeds and their coatings through multispectral analysis unveils valuable information by capturing and processing data across various light spectra, spanning from Near-Infrared (NIR) to visible light and extending into the ultraviolet (UV) range. While its applications include examining seed quality, phenotyping, and detecting defects or pests, our focus at Activate Ag Labs extends to a more in-depth assessment of the coating process. This emphasis aids in formulating coating compositions that promote enhanced uniformity and ease of application, ultimately improving the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of seed coating operations. Through the utilization of data-driven decision-making, we consistently enhance seed coatings. Coupled with the ongoing integration of progressively sustainable materials, we are confident in maintaining our position at the forefront of innovation.
