"Set it and Forget it" Don’t try this approach There are people who use the "Set it and Forget it" approach in their business, or maybe in their life as well. But this only works in the kitchen when you put the chicken in the rotisserie and get it perfectly every time. Even though “Set it and forget it” is about being easy or about having so much trust in the company that you can just “forget it”, don’t try this in the real world of content creation, and marketing campaigns. Here is why: - Your audience’s needs change over time - Your content doesn’t have relevance every day - You should always look for ways to improve continuously This day’s automation and technology have provided us with tools to streamline processes and save time, it is important to remember that effective content and marketing strategies require constant attention and improvement. To get the best out of your content and marketing effort, you have to adopt a mindset of "Set it, monitor it, and Optimize it" instead of "Set it and Forget it." Industry buzz terms are making your ideal client gloss over your marketing. It would be easy to tell my audience our agency can support with Integrated Marketing or Holistic Marketing. Even Full Service Marketing can be an "industry" term that is easy (but lazy) to throw around. Because those terms aren't about what my client actually needs. While those terms might explain what we DO at The Consistency Corner they don't it doesn't explain HOW it will help my client. That messaging is not easy. That messaging takes reflection and introspection and refinement. That messaging can't be pulled out of AI And you know how I've found the "right words"? I asked my customers. They told me: ✨you make marketing feel simple and streamlined 🌟you help me get marketing done when I just can't get to it ✨you hold me accountable to taking the necessary steps to move the needle, while making it feel achievable So...your homework today is to ask a client "why did you want to work with me?" And then create some content using those words.

How confronting a Tarantula in the jungle of Belise can unveil marketing insights for tech founders, owners and SMEs Imagine this. You're in a hammock, deep in the jungle of neat Orange Town in Belize Your head hammering from the wild night before of upside down tequilas You open your eyes, and there it is. A tarantula, the size of a puppy, perched on your chest. Your heart races. You're petrified. But then, as your common sense kicks in You slowly shift, and the spider, equally scared, scuttles away. But our perfect prospect, like that tarantula, are as "scared" All our jargon and feature facts and benefits don't make sense to them (their looking up the nostrils of a white hairless ape ten times their size) Here's where storytelling changes the game. It's not just about data. It's about connection. When we share stories, we bridge that gap of fear. Suddenly, both sides see eye to eye. And we've been storytelling for hundreds or thousands of years Long before PowerPoint snoozefests I'm sure you've seen Now, imagine your team, each member armed with a song they all know that resonates and it becomes a ear worm for them and those you make offers to as well? Every pitch becomes a chorus of one compelling narrative, both consistent and powerful So, think back to your own 'tarantula encounters' in business.
