Came across this fascinating paper on PaperQA2, and I couldn’t resist sharing it! 🚀 PaperQA2 is pushing boundaries, being the first-ever AI agent to conduct entire scientific literature reviews independently and outperforming PhD and Postdoc-level biology researchers on multiple tasks. That's right—AI is not just catching up but surpassing human expertise in highly specific literature research. Impressive, right? From refining search parameters to delivering factually grounded, cited answers, PaperQA2 has become a game-changer. What really caught my eye is how it applies itself to niche questions, achieving state-of-the-art performance in LitQA2 (part of LAB-Bench). 🤖📚 If you’re into AI and research, check out the code on GitHub: https://lnkd.in/g-xqXWRb 👉 If you found this helpful, give it a like! 🔁 Share this with your network to spread the word! ♻️ Repost to share these exciting updates with your connections! #AI #ArtificialIntelligence #ResearchRevolution #MachineLearning #ScientificResearch #AIinScience #FutureOfAI #Innovation #TechInnovation #OpenSource #Biotech #AIResearch #GoogleAI #DataScience #DeepLearning #WikiCrow #PaperQA2 #TechForGood #FutureOfResearch #STEM

We’re excited to share that Joost Jansen, a bright mind from our Academic Excellence Program (AXP), has successfully defended his Master’s thesis in Computer Science at Delft University of Technology. Joost’s research explored the capabilities of Large Language Models (LLMs) supported by Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures in answering questions about a company’s sustainability performance. Through rigorous testing and optimization, Joost developed a RAG architecture that outperformed existing models. However, his research also highlighted the importance of human judgement in areas where AI falls short. This research underscores the value of AI as a tool to assist human analysts, rather than replace them. It’s a reminder that while AI can provide clear-cut claim verification, it still requires a “human in the loop” for questions that require judgement or context-specific answers. Congratulations Joost and all the best for the next chapter in your career! #AI #AssetManagement #Investing #LLM
