As we bid farewell to 2023 and embrace the dawn of 2024, I reflect on the remarkable journey we've undertaken as scientists. 2023 was a year of culmination and expansion, marked by the successful completion of the ASTRABAT project, the groundbreaking manufacturing of the ULTCC6G EPac prototype, and our participation in esteemed conferences like ECers2023, Lyon, MMA2023, Mainz and Pacrim15 2023, China. We've also had the privilege of delivering invited talks, session chair, industrial visits, and new consortium coordination, further amplifying our impact within the scientific community. With these achievements as our stepping stones, we look forward to 2024 with a renewed sense of purpose and anticipation. We eagerly await the unveiling of new projects, the embrace of fresh challenges, and the opportunity to contribute even more to the advancement of scientific knowledge. May this year be filled with groundbreaking discoveries, unwavering collaboration, and the fulfillment of our collective aspirations. Here's to a 2024 brimming with scientific triumphs! Networking and Collaborations: As we embark on this new year, we must continue to strengthen our international networks and foster collaborations that will pave the way for groundbreaking discoveries. We should organize a visit for Indian scientist to share their expertise and experiences with our local scientific community. This will not only enhance our knowledge base but also strengthen the ties between our two countries. Project Planning for the Future: With a focus on collaboration and innovation, we should start planning our projects for the future. This includes identifying new research areas, developing funding proposals, and establishing partnerships with industry, research institutions, and other universities. Together, we can make 2024 a year of extraordinary scientific progress and collaboration. Let's seize this opportunity to push the boundaries of knowledge and make a lasting impact on the world. Here's to a 2024 filled with scientific breakthroughs and the pursuit of knowledge!

How can research funding and performing organizations expand their #Science4Policy activities? Reflecting on the latest guidance on the topic from Science Europe, I think we need to work on 3 levels to develop: - institutional capacities - tools and infrastructures - policies and enabling conditions Great to discuss this with Hans Willems from Research Foundation Flanders - FWO; Alberto Mercado from CSIC; Margarida Prado from Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia (FCT); and Mari Sundli Tveit from Norges forskningsråd. Thanks to Science Europe Lidia Borrell-Damian and Nicola Francesco Dotti for organizing this stimulating discussion. More info on the guidelines here: https://lnkd.in/eRk-VSuM
