Bobby Witt seems to have become the player the Royals thought he could be when they made him the 2nd overall pick in the 2019 MLB Draft. So what do the Royals have to offer to lock him up? Rany Jazayerli (Co-Founder Baseball Prospectus/@Jazayerli) and Soren Petro (Sports Radio 810-WHB, 810whb.com/@SorenPetro) discuss what it would take to keep Witt in a Royals uniform for the long haul. - How long would the contract be? - How much money is it going to take? - Is a long term extension the best move for the Royals? - Would Witt even consider an extension? - What went wrong with the Royals 2023 season? - Could it have been avoided? - Was this actually the plan for the 2023 Royals?

Take the time to listen to this Hockey Think Tank Episode with client Zach Metsa. Topher and Jeff do a great job every week having players tell their stories and any young hockey player out there can learn a lot by subscribing. A few things stuck out to me about this episode- 1) Zach Metsa is the type of player and leader you win with. 2) Mets does not like to talk about himself, but will talk about teammates and coaches for days. 3) Believing in the process and not the results are what made Mets and Quinnipiac Men’s Hockey Team successful. 4) Zach Metsa is one of the best people in the game today. #goldstandard

Chairman, CEO & Co-Founder, Baseball United, Inc. // Founder BSB Group, BSB Sports, & Besomebody, Inc. // Licensed Sports Agent // Ex P&G + GoPro
A core pillar in our vision for Baseball United is to give more opportunities to more people through the game of baseball. Only 6.1% of players on today’s Major League Baseball (MLB) rosters are Black. That’s the lowest percentage since 1955 - the year before Jackie Robinson retired. There are no Black majority owners in MLB. Our hope is to change that, beginning with our own league. 81% of our current Baseball United owners are Black or Brown, including Black baseball icons Barry Larkin and Ryan Howard. There will also be several ownership opportunities at the franchise level with bidding for each of our teams opening soon. 25% of the players for our initial four franchises will be Black. There are many ways we are tackling diversity, representation, and opportunity in baseball, and this is one of the most meaningful areas. Long way to go, but truly appreciate everyone’s support. 🙏⚾️ #baseball #baseballunited #DEI #diversity #sportsbusiness #linkedinsports #entrepreneurship
