Just got back from the #FunnelForum conference and it was a one-of-a-kind experience. You know this feeling you have after watching a movie that have moved you deeply: you are changed forever by the experience you just lived. I feel the same having attended a life changing conference as I found “my people, my tribe”. Everyone I met during this conference was speaking my language and for once I felt like I was part of a community who shared my hopes and vision about #centralization. During the conference, I had the privilege of being on a panel with some amazing co-panelists, Christi Weinstein, Jindou Lee, Jerry Davis, Ronald Burkhardt. We got deep into the topic of #centralization and shared our insights. A big shout out to Funnel Leasing for hosting such a great gathering! Earlier this year, from Motiv Venture Studio, we proudly launched Huddl—an innovative event engagement platform designed to enhance both attendee and organizer experiences. Here’s what Huddl achieved at the recent YYC Data Con 2024: ✅ Attendees personalized their event schedules to fit their interests. 🤝 'Networking Bingo' facilitated new and meaningful connections. 📸 A shared conference photo album allowed attendees to post and access memories live. 💬 Real-time engagement through live Q&A sessions with speakers. 🏆 Interactive activities with opportunities to win exclusive prizes. Huddl recorded 889 activations at YYC Data Con 2024, boosting meaningful interactions and providing organizers with crucial insights into engagement levels and attendee behaviours. These insights help organizers refine event strategies for greater impact. Huddl aims to facilitate networking through a gamified experience, while providing event organizers and sponsors with powerful data and analytics from the event. Some of the features include: - Building your agenda 📆 - Networking Bingo 🎲 - Event Scavenger Hunt 🔎 - Attendees list 👥 What's incredible about Huddl is that it took our team only 7 weeks to go from an idea to launch. The reality is that our user testing occurred live at the event itself, with 900+ attendees and platform activations. And I must say, based on the feedback, we are extremely satisfied with the pilot. For the past 6 months I've worked closely with a local DJ collective Nimaš Izbire to enhance their online presence with their very own website - https://lnkd.in/dhjsB6s9 Features at a Glance: Event Timeline: A comprehensive listing of upcoming gigs and memorable past events, ensuring fans never miss out. User Registration: A seamless sign-up process for users to become part of the Nimaš Izbire community. Newsletter Subscription: With 300+ members already onboard, our newsletter is the heartbeat of our community, keeping everyone informed and engaged. Custom QR Code Discounts: In an effort to give back to our loyal followers, I developed a unique plugin that generates personalized QR codes. This not only offers a 20% discount on the next event but also fosters a sense of belonging within our community. The reception of this feature has been phenomenal, adding a new layer to our interaction with the audience. This was a really fun project to work on and I took a lot from it. Here are some key points: Team Communication: Getting what the team wants and turning it into something real taught me a lot about effective communication and translation of ideas into action. Newsletters: Crafting newsletters that avoid spam filters and engage the audience was a technical challenge. It involved understanding email standards and user expectations. Custom Plugin Development: Creating the QR code plugin from scratch was a hands-on lesson in coding for practical use, focusing on functionality and user benefits. User Registration: Simplifying the sign-up process was crucial. It was about making it easy and inviting for users to join. Pre-Event Prep: The lead-up to the first event involved quick fixes and adjustments to ensure everything ran smoothly, highlighting the importance of readiness and adaptability. Overall it was a fun project to be apart of that taught me a lot of valuable lessons.
