I spoke with Peter Khalil and Milton Dick MP at the morning tea for interns participating in the Australian National Internships Program. This semester, I am writing an economic research paper on the housing crisis. Since Y2K, housing supply has not kept up with rising demand. House prices have gone up twice as fast as incomes. The 'bank of mum and dad' now defines the financial future of young Australians. My paper focuses on improving the planning system to increase the supply and density of housing in Australia's cities.

Good Afternoon Everyone, In todays post I am going to share the lessons I learned from being a student government senator for CUNY York College. 1. Closed mouths don’t get fed, however you have to know what your saying who you are saying it too and when you are saying it. Because aggressive mouths don’t get heard. 2. Delegation doesn’t work in politics. What I mean by delegation in Student Government Is I go and speak to the admins about concerns students are having and come back to the board so they could vote on it however they informed me that delegation doesn’t work in politics 3. How to work in large teams. In my 2 summer internships this summer I was working with 2 teams of 3 interns each which was manageable. However in Student Government we have 29 senators and I learned how to work with a large group of people and the importance of shared governance

But, there’s one thing our interns and other learners should never have to carry: the inequities that come with accessing education of all forms. That is why Every Texan persistently advocates for policies and programs that improve access and equity in education. Through people-centered, fact-based research and policy analysis, a coalition of partners across race, class, and gender, deep community engagement with everyday Texans, and a narrative shift supported by digital advocacy, we know we can impact change where it matters — in public policy. As I move into my macro policy specialization year at Louisiana State University, I am so blessed to annouce my fall internship. I’ll be working for the National Association of Social Workers’ Texas and Louisiana Chapters. Is what to study now more important than where to study for Latin Americans?   For Mexican students 71% say ‘yes’ according to the latest Keystone Education Group report on Latin America. This means highlighting the key features of your institution’s top programmes is just as important as highlighting the location.   Even more interestingly, according to Keystone other top priorities Latin American students consider when choosing an institution are:   📕 Program content and modules (63.5%)  ✏ Work placements / internships (59.4%)  👨🏫 Quality of professors & teaching (49.8%) In many of the marketing material recommendations we at EdCo make for our partners, we often advise highlighting 4 key points: details of the top programs broken down into bitesize chunks, share course syllabi in an easily accessible way, highlight career opportunities and internships to really stand out, and of course provide nice pictures and facts about the location. 

It’s official! I finished my Masters of Public Policy from the University of Utah! I’m so grateful for the experiences I’ve had, the things I’ve learned, friends I’ve made, internships I’ve completed, and especially for the support and love of family and friends.
