Do you: A. compromise your interests to get it done? B. walk away, consider the business relationship foiled, and hope you never see the person again? Or... is there another option? Remember: in any industry, you're likely to see some of the same people over and over again. So it's critical to maintain good relationships with them. Not being able to reach an agreement might feel awkward, but it doesn't have to be. Here's a tactic old as time (okay, at least as old as Abraham Lincoln, who we mention using it in our most recent episode): Ask the other side what you can do for them. Not in relation to the deal. But as a person. Just because you can't work with them professionally in this context doesn't mean you have nothing to offer them. Ask them if there's anything you can do for THEM. It's one of the easiest ways to build professional relationships on personal foundations. People want to work with people they like. #negotiation #negotiationtips #negotiationstrategy #negotiationskills #business #businesstips #relationships #businessstrategy #disputeresolution #businessdeals #dealmaking

💡 Just a mind-blowing conversation that I couldn't help but share with you all! 🌟 A girl managed to shut up a guy in just 5 minutes by drawing parallels between running a successful business and nurturing relationships. She made a profound point - just like in business, if you don't listen to your clients and give them what they want, things won't work out. Clients are like Bhagwaan, she said, and you need to listen to them to make things work. The same goes for relationships - how can we expect them to flourish if we don't listen and fulfill each other's needs? Just like in business, relationships thrive when we take feedback, understand each other's desires, and work towards building something beautiful together. This conversation got me thinking about the similarities between business and relationships. Let's remember to listen, understand, and adapt in both aspects of our lives for success and growth! 🚀💬 #business #relationships #success #communication #listenandlearn

You are sabotaging business relationships every day with this sneaky bad habit… You can’t be an effective communicator if you are constantly talking and interrupting others. But for many of us the desire to share, to be known, or to identify with others leads us to constantly interrupt others. This is my number one tip to stop interrupting and be a better listener… As you listen (really listen to understand not to respond) keep your lips together and say “Mmmmmm” That’s it. I’m serious. Once you’ve mastered that and managed to zip it you can move on to “wow….”. I promise this will transform your listening muscles and people will open up before you. #letsgrowtogether

The secret to relationship success doesn’t come from finding the right person. It comes from simply trusting that you are choosing the perfect partner for where you are at, in any moment, and that all that really matters is you both, collectively, agree that you are going to stop asking “Is this the /right/ person?” and instead choose to create each other as the right person. Once you’ve made this decision, your relationship can become fertile ground for seeing your own /stuff/ reflected back to you, and an opportunity for real growth. Silence is one of the most powerful tools in a negotiation. It’s uncomfortable, but that’s exactly why it works. People inherently chase comfort and feel the need to fill silent gaps with words. When you remain silent, your counterpart often feels compelled to speak, revealing more information or even making concessions. This tactic can shift the balance in your favor without you having to say a word. ••• Next time you’re in a negotiation, resist the urge to fill the silence. Instead, embrace it. Allow the other person to break the silence. You’ll be amazed at how often this leads to closing more deals and achieving better outcomes. Remember, it’s not just about talking; it’s about strategic communication. Build rapport, deliver value, and then let the silence amplify your message. Mastering this will elevate your negotiation game to a whole new level. ••• #RealEstate #negotiation #Realtor #RealEstateAgent #Business #GodisGood
