FRIDAY - Sharing 3 searches with interesting nuance that the Jagger team is currently working on. CEO - TORONTO. DTC Brand doing mid eight figures of revenue - looking for a CEO who had lead & scaled a DTC first brand w/ omni-channel experience. Experience driving growth through to significant acquisition. Understanding of process, capital markets, contacts etc. Marketing Lead - REMOTE across Canada. (This could be a manager level or someone currently in a Senior IC capacity... or someone currently in a head of / director role that doesn't need a large team at the onset - We're open on comp and background) First Marketing hire for an early stage startup with successful founders who just sold their last business Applying everything they learned with the same approach to a new industry - These roles are the most fun and require a Marketing Generalist who thrives in the trenches and wants to build own the function from an early stage. B2B SaaS experience a must. Need someone who can be efficient - not going to build a team at the onset etc. *** I genuinely think this will be one of the most successful startups we hear about over the coming years Strategic Finance / Founding AE (In the US) / Marketing & Events Manager. One of our clients is a Search Fund that just purchased an amazing & long standing software business - They've injected two Co-CEOs who are incredibly sharp and hungry - They are going to grow the hell out of this business & looking for people who want to join. Great opportunity for people to join a proven business model with long track record that will now be in scale up mode and operating as a high growth start-up even though it's been around for YEARS. 3 roles - Need people who are looking for growth - This will not be VC backed salary bands - Lean, mean, green! Please reach out if you know of anyone or if you're interested in these opportunities. #Jobs #Hiring #Recruiting

What’s the key to placing a great EA? It’s more than just finding someone with the right skills—it’s about matching them with the right environment. After years of working with startups, I’ve learned that the best EAs aren’t just efficient; they’re adaptable, proactive, and tuned in to the fast pace of the business. Here’s what makes a standout EA in my experience: Natural Multitaskers: Whether they’re organising schedules, handling projects, or supporting different teams, great EAs have a way of keeping everything on track without missing a beat. Strong Communicators: Clear, effective communication is key, especially in dynamic environments where plans change quickly. Proactive Mindset: The best EAs are always a step ahead. They notice what needs attention and handle it before it even becomes an issue, which is crucial in the fast-moving world of startups. If you’re hiring for an EA role, or you are one, what do you think makes someone a standout EA? I’d love to hear your thoughts.

Fractional Head of Content | I help B2B SaaS brands create organic acquisition strategy that drives results @GrowthMentor | Ex-Head of Marketing @Piktochart
This one term keeps popping up everywhere. But, what does it really mean? I’m talking about: "Fractional". Fractional CMO. Fractional Head of Content. Fractional Dog Walker (ok, this is made up) While some startups run their entire operations with fractional help, others don’t know what it is. So, what is it? Fractional talent = experienced (mid-senior) subject experts who work with companies flexibly on a part-time basis. When it’s a interesting option to consider hiring a fractional talent: ▶ You don’t really need someone FT to do the job ▶ You want to save money (and avoid costs coming with hiring FT) ▶ You need a proven expertise and strategic leadership ▶ You consider FT a risk for employee turnover or incompetence ▶ When you’re in early growth stages and need to find channel-market fit faster Why people are becoming a fractional “something”: 🟢 They are tired of the pressure and responsibility that come with the job description (more if it’s a C-level) 🟢 They might have burned out in such a role in the past 🟢 They want more flexibility and to possibly work on other/side-projects 🟢 They crave higher project diversity to learn and thrive 🟢 They’ve been there, done that, they just want to help implement what they’ve learned without the full package that comes with a FT position Are you hiring fractional talent? When do you think it’s NOT the best situation to hire one? ____________ I’m Marta and I’m a Fractional Head of Content. I help SaaS companies implement and scale organic growth strategy that brings traffic, leads, and product signups. Free slot from September 2024.

If you’re potentially looking to hire a fractional CTO, here are 5 things to consider: 1) Aligning to company goals - make sure that whoever you hire understands and supports your business's vision and objectives, integrating technology strategies that push your goals forward. 2) Clear communication - make sure that they communicate complex technical concepts clearly to all team members, ensuring decisions are well-informed and inclusive. 3) Scope of work - Set clear expectations and deliverables for the fractional CTO's role, preventing scope creep and focusing efforts on high-impact areas. 4) Flexibility - Look for a fractional CTO who can adapt to changing business needs and technologies, offering innovative solutions and strategic pivots when necessary. 5) Transition - Have a strategy for eventually transitioning the responsibilities of your fractional CTO, whether scaling to a full-time position or evolving the role to match company growth. Side note 👉 if we’ve not spoken before, I’m Ross, a fractional CTO. Here’s a little rundown of my fractional CTO journey: - Over twenty years of startup experience. - 3x startup to IPO. - An excellent background in shipping digital products for Nintendo, Disney, Argos, ASDA, Tesco, LADBible, Honda, Manchester United, Phones4U, NBrown, Ultimate Performance, Myprotein, and Unilever. - I had one of the most successful entrepreneurs in the world as my mentor. - I was part of the leadership team that became the UK's largest-ever technology IPO. I help CEOs to scale their product and teams. Interested in having a quick chat? My team is hiring senior BD professionals worldwide. Let me quickly tell you why BD might be the perfect role for you if you’re looking to take your career to new heights. For many companies—and especially at Fever—BD is the lifeline. Platform businesses thrive on supply growth, and increasing that supply drives platform success. Wherever you are, always aim to be on the side of growth. BD is the most entrepreneurial job you can have at a mid-sized tech company. In BD, you’re essentially your own boss. You’re measured by the size of your business, you decide how to allocate your time, and eventually, results speak for themselves. There’s no bureaucracy or time wasted—you focus on adding value to the business and get recognized for it. The more you grow, the more BD-related your role will be. Every successful CEO I’ve met excels at one thing—pitching their company or product. If you want to climb the ranks, gaining BD experience is crucial—nothing prepares you better for the top job. I could go on, but you get the idea. If you’re a consultant looking to move into execution, BD is the place for you. We’d love to hear from you—apply at careers.feverup.com or shoot me a note.
