To celebrate International Women's Day 2024, UNIQLO Indonesia collaborated with IBCWE to hold a talk show titled "Building Inclusive Culture In The Workplace" in the South Quarter, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (20/3). “Diversity and gender equality in the workplace will create a positive and inclusive work atmosphere. Internally, Uniqlo has a special committee, the Diversity and Inclusion Committee (D&I), whose task is to share understanding and real practices to promote diversity and inclusion among employees, customers, and business." Irma Yunita, Director of Corporate Affairs PT Fast Retailing Indonesia (Uniqlo). This initiative that supports inclusivity in the UNIQLO work environment has three main focuses. First, Gender Equality, which oversees maternity and paternity leave policies, flexible working arrangements, work from home, staggered work hours (employees start and finish work at different times from the general working hours of 8 hours a day), provision of nursery rooms, recruitment, and career development based on merit-based performance. Second, Global One (Race, Ethnicity), namely global talent transfer from Indonesia to abroad and vice versa, religious celebrations, and employee engagement to introduce multicultural exchange. Third, People with Disability, UNIQLO recruits PwD staff with intellectual, hearing, and speech disabilities in stores, as well as providing fitting rooms and disabled parking areas in UNIQLO stores. “Diversity can stimulate innovation and break conventional thinking so that it can give rise to fresh and creative ideas in solving problems at work. Having a diverse workforce with an inclusive environment will create an atmosphere where employees support each other so that the great potential in each individual can be demonstrated well," said Wita Krisanti, Executive Director of IBCWE. #workplacegenderequality #genderequality #workplaceinclusivity #inclusivity
