"Will machines ever achieve consciousness?" An intriguing interview with Ray Kurzweil, author of "The Singularity is Near". - What is AI Singularity? AI singularity is a hypothetical idea where artificial intelligence is more intelligent than humans. In simpler terms, if machines are smarter than people, a new level of intelligence will be reached that humans can’t achieve. It will cause technology to develop exponentially, and humans cannot evolve fast enough to catch up. Experts believe that AI can improve itself repeatedly at some point, leading to rapid technological advances that will be impossible for humans to fathom or control. Events like this are expected to cause significant changes in society, the economy, and technology. AI singularity can be viewed from various angles, each with advantages and disadvantages. Some experts consider singularity a genuine and present danger, while others dismiss it as pure science fiction. What such a singularity would mean for humanity is another topic of heated debate. Some think it would create a utopia, while others see it as doomsday.

I just finished listening to an episode of a #podcast series by Arvind Ravishunkar on the topic of Developing AI strategy for your organization. In this podcast with Kavita Ganesan, she divides the topic into three key areas. 1. AI Sense - Not all problems are #ai problems. 2. Business Sense - Even if we choose a problem as an AI problem, we need to check whether it makes business sense to go ahead and do it. 3. Data Sense - We need #data to use AI to solve a problem. Any data will not make it. Right data for the problem in hand is key. I suggest to any #leaders who have a charter to develop AI products should listen to this podcast first, then read Kavitha:s book 'The Business Case for AI", which is what I am going to do next.
