75 Company Chairs, CEOs and Senior Leaders of major U.K. businesses who together employ more than one million people and investors who manage more than £2.8 trillion have today signed a letter sent to Chancellor Jeremy Hunt calling for the Government to take urgent action to address the decline in U.K. pensions capital invested in the UK’s equity markets. The letter advocates for an independent review to encourage UK pensions schemes to invest in publicly listed companies in Britain and to seriously consider proposals for a British ISA that would unlock much needed capital for innovative UK businesses. It also strongly urges the government to give the FRC a formal and explicit competitiveness objective. The letter illustrates that in the UK, unlike similar economies around the world, we have not been investing in ourselves. Congratulations to the abrdn Sustainability Group for winning the Net Zero award at last night’s Scottish Financial Services Awards. Our team, led by Eva Cairns and with key contributors Nick Gaskell, Alexandre Popa and Anna Moss was recognised for developing a framework to assess the credibility of net zero targets and how this can be applied by investors. Achieving #NetZero requires capital to be directed to credible corporate transition leaders. Using their proprietary credibility framework to cut through the noise of the ever-expanding number of corporates setting net zero targets, our Sustainability Group supports investors looking to better allocate climate positive capital and understand climate risk scenarios. #SFSA2023

Beyond proud that interactive investor's first TV ad is now in the wild! 😀 🎉 As a Brand Manager, it's been such a fun experience seeing this all come together from an idea on a page to a fully-fledged TV ad and media campaign. I'm delighted with the end product, and it has been well worth the many months spent on it by our awesome Brand team.
