From our family to yours, Happy Father’s Day! As a family-owned enterprise, there is a deep sense of responsibility among the generational leaders across The Stewart Companies to uphold the values of our founder, Robert Stewart Sr. His commitment to integrity, respect for his team, and dedication to customer service are the foundations we build on every day. I was privileged to join the The Goodyear Tire & Rubber Company's distinguished speaker series as a part of their #BlackHistoryMonth gathering hosted by the Goodyear Black Network. The discussion was moderated by my former colleague and friend, senior vice president and chief communications officer, Laura Duda. Though we’re not related, it was also wonderful getting to meet and hear from RaJohn Butler. Throughout the dynamic conversation we discussed how individuals can, regardless of their roles, work to advance a more diverse and inclusive workplace. I shared that one of the simplest but most effective ways we can do to advance DEI in the workplace is to take the time to get to know our coworkers. When we welcome the opportunity to connect, not only can our outlooks change but so can our outputs. At all levels of business, having a mindset of inclusivity and being able to embrace diverse voices and perspectives is critical. Advancing the DEI work we do here at Exelon through every level of our business plays a critical role in our ability to deliver safe, reliable, and equitable energy to our communities. Although Black History Month provides a chance to delve into subjects that benefit the Black community through meaningful discussions, DEI remains significant to our business year-round. For us, it’s a core value and not just a business strategy. We need to reflect the communities that we serve, not only in our entry-level teams but at the executive-level as well. We’re clear that anyone who works for Exelon is required to demonstrate these values, and it’s my job to be a model of that behavior. That means standing up for the values we represent and staying true to them despite ever shifting climate around us. Thank you again to the Goodyear Black Network for inviting me to join this discussion. I’m honored to have been a part of this series.
Today, the Goodyear Black Network hosted a great conversation with President and CEO of Exelon Calvin Butler, moderated by GBN Executive Sponsor Laura Duda. Thank you, Calvin, for sharing your unique career journey and insights on leadership and development, as well as many other topics that matter to our associates. Are you a servant leader? The servant leader is someone who prioritizes the needs of others before their own and focuses on the growth and well-being of their team and their community. The concept of servant leadership turns the traditional leadership model upside down; instead of the people working to serve the leader, the leader exist to serve the people on their team, in their organization or in their community. #NonprofitLeadership #CommunityService #ServantLeadership
Board-Certified Pediatrician | Healthcare Executive | Visionary Leader | Healthcare and NonProfit Transformation | Community Champion
Last week, Elona Deprez and I had the distinct pleasure of lunching with the remarkable Marygrace Billek, the recently retired Director of Human Services for Mercer County Administration. MaryGrace continues her journey of service as a board member of the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen and the Princeton Area Community Foundation. As we shared stories over lunch, I was reminded of the power of “servant leadership,” a philosophy that MaryGrace embodies so fully. It’s about leading with heart, focusing first on the well-being of the community and the people within it. Her dedication inspires those around her, including myself, to lead in a manner that prioritizes the greater good. Thank you, MaryGrace, for showing us that true leadership is about service and making a difference in the lives of others. Your legacy inspires us all to contribute more passionately to our communities! #Leadership #CommunityService #ServantLeadership #Inspiration #HumanServices #SocialImpact

Good at teamwork, work closely with team members to complete project tasks together, and be able to play your professional advantages in the team. 🤝
Navigating the intricate maze of leadership, one finds themselves at the helm of a burgeoning enterprise. With roots steeped in ambition and a vision broad as the horizon, the path forward seems riddled with unforeseen challenges. Leadership, however, is more than a title; it is a relentless quest for harmony within a diverse team, each member a cog in the vast machinery of any organization. This Easter, as we stand on the threshold of renewal, let us remember that in diversity lies our greatest strength, in challenges our greatest lessons, and in unity, the key to sustainable growth. The celebration of Easter, in its core, transcends the literal and embraces the universal themes of rebirth and unity. It is a chance to lay bare the friction, to address the hurdles, and to forge a path of collective renewal. Reflecting on this journey, we are reminded of the power of inclusivity and the strength inherent in our diverse tapestry. As we embrace our diversity and find strength in our differences, we can collectively leap towards our goals, fueled by the spirit of hope and rebirth that Easter symbolizes. Happy Easter to all, and to all a bright horizon. #caarmo #leadership
