"A Day in the Life of a Senior Technical Sales Specialist" People often ask, “What’s a typical day like in technical sales?” Here’s the truth: There’s no such thing as a typical day. Every day brings new challenges, but also new opportunities to grow. Whether it’s: ➡️ Conducting technical presentations for clients ➡️ Negotiating contract terms ➡️ Traveling to client sites for demos... It’s about adapting and staying curious. My success is driven by understanding each client’s specific needs and offering tailored solutions that add real value to their business. Are you also in technical sales? Share one key lesson you've learned on the job.

This might be an unpopular opinion: Any "non-technical" salesperson selling a technical product needs to be able to demo their own product without the help of an SE. I'm not saying we should hire technical experts as sales reps. But the most successful sales reps I've seen are the ones that take the time to deeply learn their product, the industry domain, and their prospects' daily lives. What's even harder is knowing how to flex that technical muscle without falling into a features/functionality rabbit hole. The most lethal sales reps are the ones that can hold their own in a technical conversation, but never lose sight of the big picture business value. Do you agree? #sales #salestips #thursdaythoughts

"Why Technical Sales Needs to Go Beyond Features" (Here’s why most clients get overwhelmed) As a Senior Technical Sales Specialist, I’ve learned one simple truth: Clients don’t just buy products—they buy solutions. Too often, I see sales presentations flooded with technical details, overwhelming prospects with specs and features. But here’s the catch: Your client doesn’t care about the tech itself; they care about what the tech will do for them. My advice? 🔸 Focus on outcomes 🔸 Solve their unique problems 🔸 Build long-term relationships by understanding their needs At the end of the day, you’re not selling a product—you’re delivering value. Let’s make technical sales about solutions not specifications. P.S. What’s one sales approach you wish you’d learned earlier in your career?
