🛑 STOP RIGHT NOW 🛑 2 months ago I had a msg from a Founder who was desperate to hire a Logistics Director - he had a budget of £110k (+ my fee of 17.5% = £129,250). His 'in house' operation was creaking at the seams & they were getting lots of issues with deliveries, out of stocks, wrong items, imports / shipping etc He felt that a Logistics Director would "sort it out". The business t/o is c£24m and current h/c is 32. 🛑 IMO he did not need a Logistics Director! So I turned down the £110k salaried role & suggested he actually need a 'Head of Logistics' who would cost around £75k. This would be a sensible hire, who would be more "hands on" within the operation & would set up new E2E supply chain processes, to enhance their CX. Fast forward 2 months & the candidate is now in week 3.
