Despite numerous discussions, the reality is that without the contributions of non-profit organizations, little progress would have been made for Veterans. Nevertheless, for individuals aspiring to work for esteemed non-profit agencies like the WWP, it is crucial to enhance their salary packages. These salaries must reflect the current cost of living to attract a significant workforce. #GotYour6 #CraigNewmark

Working with clients to help them achieve their life and financial goals | Wealth Planning | Tax efficient solutions
Providing financial education and wellbeing programmes is crucial - and to be able to give something back to our Armed Forces is something we are very proud of. #financialwellbeing #helpforheroes #financialplanning
It’s Armed Forces Week, a chance for us all to say thank you to those serving and to veterans from all generations. One of the ways we show our thanks is through our work with Help for Heroes, a charity that provides veterans with tailored and holistic support for their physical and mental health, along with their welfare and social needs. Our employees and advisers give their time particularly to supporting their financial wellbeing programmes for veterans, as well as fundraising and volunteering. In 2020, we co-developed our Financial Wellbeing programme with Help for Heroes for their Recovery College and every year since, our volunteers have helped deliver the sessions to veterans. More recently, we've funded the delivery of Veterans Moving Forwards, a course delivered to veterans in their own communities through their local NHS Recovery College. This course enables veterans to consider how their military experiences may still have an impact on their life and find a more positive approach to move forwards and manage day to day life.

Good Morning all. Black Onyx Concepts Ltd and Money and Me Solicitors are proud to announce our partnership in hosting a significant event dedicated to supporting veterans in the Staffordshire area. The event, organised by the Staffordshire Veterans Support Network (SVSN), will take place on April 4th, 2024, from 13:00 to 16:00 at : Staffordshire Chambers of Commerce, Festival Park, ST1 5BE. Our aim is to create a platform for veterans from the Staffordshire area to use as a support network by engaging with, not only other veterans, but with businesses that provide essential support and guidance to service leavers as they transition into civilian life and employment. Veterans attending the SVSN event will benefit from being able to engage with local businesses that have been specifically selected to attend based on their alignment of values with the Armed Forces Covenant. Throughout Staffordshire, there is a wide variety of businesses who actively promote the employment of veterans and the benefits from doing so. The support and guidance that is available to the veterans of Staffordshire covers a wide variety of topics. These areas are outlined below, to hopefully provide a better understanding of what the SVSN can offer the veteran community, reservists and their families: • Employment opportunities for veterans with local businesses who support the veteran community / veteran owned businesses. • Training opportunities for veterans seeking work in the security and risk management sector delivered by veteran instructors. • Professional legal support and guidance for veterans seeking compensation for mis-sold military pensions. • Professional legal support and guidance for veterans seeking compensation for military hearing and injury claims. • Charitable organisations who specifically raise awareness, funds and essential support to veterans Veterans, reservists, and their families are encouraged to attend this event to find out about the valuable resources and opportunities that are available. 🌍 Location - Stoke On Trent 🇬🇧 #veteranshelpingveterans #openday #veteraowned #veteranownedandoperated #allarewelcomehere

Following on from a question that was posed at the Association's AGM regarding British veteran cards being issued to overseas residents, the below advice has recently been posted to the MoD website. -------------- An HM Armed Forces Veteran Card is a way to prove that you served in the UK armed forces. The card can make it quicker and easier to apply for support as a veteran. It’s free to apply. You can currently only apply for a Veteran Card if you have a UK address. Veterans who do not have a UK address will be able to apply later this year. Check what you can do with a Veteran Card : https://lnkd.in/eJFK3Mk6 Who can get an HM Armed Forces Veteran Card? You can apply if you were in the regulars or reserves for the: · Royal Navy · Army · Royal Air Force (RAF) · Royal Marines If you served in another group in the UK armed forces, you may still be able to get a card. You can check when you apply online or when you call to request a postal form. You cannot apply if you served: · in the armed forces of another country · alongside the UK armed forces, for example in the Canadian Navy or Royal Australian Air Force
