Vice President of Operations – North Shore Beverly, MA, USA Medical Device Manufacturing SUMMARY: Responsible for quality, on-time delivery, safety, productivity and implementing continuous improvement by incorporating Lean techniques for all operations. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The incumbent may be required to perform all, or a combination of the following essential functions as determined by business necessity. Lead & provide direction to the operations team including production, supply chain and manufacturing engineering groups to meet total manufacturing requirements. Develop high level goals and objectives based on business needs and growth across all operations functions. Set priorities of project efforts and conflicting needs. Ready the organization for product introductions, partnerships and acquisitions. Develop strategic initiatives that result in cost reductions, capacity increases and innovative manufacturing to meet customer demand and improve margins. Using Supply Chain, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, R&D and other relevant resources to develop projects, starting with low margin products, to increase profitability. Develop and implement plans for adding additional production lines to spread overhead over more products. Evaluate and, as appropriate, engage contract manufacturers to enhance production output as needed. Seek out latest technologies and, where appropriate, develop plans and incorporate into the production process. Monitor and guide team to achieve delivery of high-quality products to include performance, reliability, cost, and on-time delivery. Provide operational metrics (on-time delivery, inventory levels and turns, lead times, operational non conformances, OEE, etc.), monitor data and take appropriate corrective action where needed. Ensure staff are meeting expectations.
