Today, 8 in 10 Cornell Law students receive scholarships and financial aid. As a result, the debt load of students at graduation is lower than it has been in many years. With your support, this exciting trend will continue. 📚 Provide resources to Cornell Law’s unique clinics and practicums. These programs help Cornell Law students acquire the practical skills and experience to represent a diversity of clients in need of legal services. Your support funds 27 specialized clinics and practicums that provide life-changing learning opportunities. 🇺🇸 Support veterans in need of legal services. The Veterans Law Practicum provides a vital service to our community’s veterans. With your help, we can expand our services, and enable students and faculty to increase their caseloads. On September 23rd, I had the opportunity to tour the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill School of Law and engage with the Admissions Advisor, alongside the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, Inc. NCCU Chapter. This experience not only provided valuable insights into the law school environment but also strengthened my resolve to pursue a legal education after graduation. Join the student divisions of the voluntary bar associations in your area and start networking. Join us in celebrating CLARA's very own Dr. Jade Caines Lee who is the recipient of a National Conference of Bar Examiners (NCBE) 2024 Validity and Fairness Research Award. Her proposal, titled The HBCU Effect: Examining Factors Related to First-Time Bar Passage for HBCU Law School Alumni, focuses on the effects that graduate institution type (HBCU vs. non-HBCU) has on bar passage rates. The findings may better inform and empower HBCUs and their collaborative partners (e.g., law schools, law firms, and other business/professional entities).  https://lnkd.in/gFuSqauq
