They got a lot of votes way over 4 million and only 5 seats. Liberal got circa 3 million and 72 seats …. What about fairness, equality, democracy , the recognition that each vote really does count and has value the exact same as every other party. ?

It's not fair and is fair at the same time Paul. The first past the post (yes, like a horse, dog and/or snail race) electoral system is flawed. There are other countries that have different systems. Germany has a Proportional Representation block of seats that can shrink and grow for a party that collects a lot of votes but may not win any seats. There are not enough of these seats to overwhelm the government but provide representation for those voters that cast votes in that party. I'm not really in favour of this system because it doesn't allow for the people to choose the representative but it's the party that does the choosing. Some countries have run-off's, usually a week later that voters then choose their representative with another vote. Depending on the percentages, two or three of the top vote-getters will have a second chance in a week or two after the general election. This will determine who gets the 50 + 1% of the vote from that constituency. The downfall to this is there is usually a long time before the government can get down to business.

I find all these absolutely bizarre conspiracy theories against The Reform U.K. Party ridiculous and bizarre statements. Over 4 million votes and clearly no where near enough seats …. A Serious lack of Democracy while liberals got 72 seats with ALOT less votes . Like him or not Nigel knows how to Speak up and make things happen. I didn’t vote for them but I certainly don’t have a problem with it apart from the LACK of Fairness that Reform U.K. deserve . I am Certainly No Fool.

There’s going to be LOTS of Labour supporters voting for ReformUK once they reduce Britain to an absolute train wreck in a few years… Mark. My. Words.
