💚 ❤️ 💚 In 2023, LifeNet Health achieved an all-time high in organ donations, providing 591 patients on the National Transplant Waiting List a second chance at life. As someone who personally engages with users to secure authorizations, I'm reminded of the importance of delivering a seamless, compassionate user experience. Being personally involved in understanding the voice of the user and enhancing the user experience, one crucial insight I'm reminded of repeatedly is the transformative power of deep listening. Actively engaging with users, their feedback has guided product improvements and fostered trust and loyalty. It's a reminder that every interaction strengthens our product and builds meaningful connections with our users. This leads to saving more lives, restoring the health of more people, and giving hope to everyone involved! It's a true blessing to work for an organization whose mission is, "Saving Lives, Restoring Health, and Giving Hope." #organdonation #customerexperience #voiceofthecustomer #productmanagement

As we mark Organ Donation Week from 23 to 29 September 2024, it is important to consider how your organ donation wishes are communicated and carried out. If you state your organ donation decision in your Will, your family may not discover your wishes in time. To avoid any delay, it is important to register your decision on the NHS Organ Donor Register. Read our latest blog post which explains why you should include your organ donation wishes in your Will and review it periodically to ensure they are communicated and carried out. https://lnkd.in/eWmGWt5S

15 minutes of your time can save 3 lives. To me, this sounds too good to be true, but credible sources insist, e.g.: https://lnkd.in/gKi5TVW9 It's relatively easy and convenient for most people, and you can even fool around on your phone while you do it. Despite this, only 3% of age-eligible adults in the US donate blood each year. If you are a healthy adult >110lbs, I strongly encourage you to consider seeking out a donation center and trying it out. It's not as scary as it may seem and I can't think of an easier way to make such a huge impact. We are facing a severe blood shortage in the US --- your donation will not be wasted! Vitalant has a convenient location in Evanston if you're in my neck of the woods (https://lnkd.in/g3_YYTru), but there are many options. Have questions, hesitations, or need encouragement? Let's talk. This is not copy-and-pasted nor part of any particular donation campaign, I just figure that if I can encourage even one person to donate once, the minimal effort it takes to post this on LinkedIn (and even the potential embarrassment 😅) is warranted.

January is Blood Donor Awareness Month, and this is an opportunity to support a cause that is crucial to saving lives in our community. Did you know: • A single blood donation can save up to 3 lives. • Every two seconds, someone in the United States needs blood. • About 36,000 units of red blood cells are needed daily in the U.S. • Blood cannot be manufactured; it can only come from generous donors. • More than 4.5 million patients need blood transfusions each year in the U.S. and Canada. • Hydration is key before donating – increase your water intake 24-48 hours before you plan to give. If you are able, let's come together and make a positive difference in our community during Blood Donor Awareness Month! #BloodDonorAwarenessMonth #SaveLives #DonateBlood #MakeADifference
