It is easy to identify a generative image model with bias (see images). Detecting bias, deception, or non-human alignment in a generative text model is much less trivial. What if we could detect bias just as easily in text? Subconscious.ai takes any language model and runs 80 years of Psychology, Sociology, and Economics experiments against a Language Model respondent. This makes detecting bias, deception, and misalignment with humans as easy as detecting biased images. As we continue to navigate the ever-changing landscape of technology and sociology, I like to reflect on the past to ideate for the future. How can we create a happier, fitter, and healthier planet? After falling down the rabbit hole of research, here are some of my musings: https://lnkd.in/gd3SPcZr #technology #sociology #health #wellness #futurethinking Spoiler, no how's, only trends. p.s. I used the handy Linkedin "rewrite with AI" feature - neat! - but it didn't make any sense so this human rewrote the rewrite :) .

Fields re-emerging with AI development: Sociology: The field of sociology is expected to expand as we progress towards a future where studying and planning our collective human evolution becomes crucial. This growth may lead to a rise in specialized professionals who: Conduct human-centered analysis, making predictions, and offer solutions to societal challenges in the age of technological progress. Psychology: In addition to seeking societal solutions, addressing mental well-being is essential. Studies suggest that future generations might face increased feelings of purposelessness and loneliness. While AI can aid in processes, humans will still handle theoretical planning and implementing therapies. Philosophy: The neglect of this field in the past was due to mankind's ability to adapt economically to challenges. However, with AI advancement, ethical dilemmas will arise that require discussion. Decision-makers and governments will need to cultivate the skills and knowledge to establish an ethical framework and ensure sustainability combining carefully the technological advancement and the the preservation of our species. #ai #future #prediction

Psychology, biology, and sociology offer the first principles we can use for morality—the good; virtuous; right. We would ask: What is good? Why is good action more desireable than bad action? What constitutes good action? What is the highest conceivable good and what is the highest leverage behaviour toward that goal? Answering those questions looks something like: Good is success and health and meaning and virtue, and proaction leads me toward what is good while bad action or inaction destroys all that is desireable to me, therefore a good action is that which promotes fulfilment and vitality and positive outcome. The highest good would be those outcomes not just for me, but for everyone, to the highest possible degree, so acting in the common interest, and doing work that is aligned with my nature, and sacrificing the impediments to that work—and therefore that outcome—are the right actions for humans. How should I behave in a moral dilema? Act in accordance to the principles of virtue and goodness that lead toward positive outcomes for all. Failing that, do what is acceptable to the reasoning principle of the social being. Failing that, do the least harm.

Anthropology, Psychology, Sociology. The study of human behaviour. Complexity in corporate structures. Behavioural influences in the workplace. Hierarchical modelling. Organisational discipline. Basic contract law. Profit & Loss, margin statistics and analysis. Supply and demand in multi-sector environments. The study of each of these things drives large swathes of the world of academe and has done for decades. Professors, intellectuals and theorists have written millions of words about each topic. But let’s just call it what it is – SALES. Anyone – and I do mean anyone – with at least 5-10yrs of experience working in sales or BD has an instinctive understanding of every single one of these topics, without realising any of it as being pigeon-holed in those terms. 👉 We do it automatically, almost like breathing. 👉We understand the drivers that will make people nod, smile, agree, shake hands and open-up about themselves. 👉We instinctively seek out the problems that prospective customers have and solve them where we can. 👉We know how to maximise or leverage each conversation to gain an advantage or to gain an insight. 👉We can play (or choose not to play) all the games that Eric Berne identified, without batting an eyelid, with aplomb. 👉We want to be your friend, confidante, colleague and helper; all at the right time. 😎 Yet we also know how to switch all of that off and have a whale of a time !! And we do it all with a smile, because we understand that “No” isn’t a difficult word to hear, but that “Yes” is marvellous and that’s what makes us thrive. It’s not anywhere near as manipulative as it sounds, but it is clever. And not everyone can do it well (although plenty will insist that they can). You might not like them, you might not understand them, or you might think that they’re “just the sales team”; but without these multi-facetted, ofttimes chameleon-like, friendly wolves, you wouldn’t get very far as a business. Am I wrong?
