Five years ago, I nearly lost my own battle. Out of that experience, Driving Foreward and the Warrior Resiliency Program were born. Since then, our clinics have seen overwhelming success. Participants have fully embraced mindfulness and integrated it into their daily lives. Just recently, at an event, a past participant approached me to express his gratitude. He shared how our program helped him escape the darkness when he needed it most. Today, he’s able to look at himself in the mirror, and his life has changed for the better.
The support and enthusiasm from those directly involved in our program have been nothing short of extraordinary. However, despite the proven impact on individual lives, agencies remain hesitant—perhaps because our approach lies outside their traditional framework. But when lives are at risk, shouldn’t we be willing to consider new perspectives and approaches? What we are currently doing simply isn’t working. The cost of staying inside the box is far too high. Isn’t it worth a closer look at what *can* make a difference?
😔💙
🖤 We lost another member to suicide. Another life, another heartache. 🖤
What we’re doing isn’t working. We’ve been here before, feeling this same pain, and still, the lessons go unlearned. How many more lives must be lost? How much more heartbreak do we have to endure before real change happens?
To the friends, family, and colleagues mourning today, our deepest condolences go out to you. Our hearts are with you. 💔
At Driving Foreward, we stand ready to help in any way we can. But this is not enough. It’s time for meaningful change. Every life lost is a price too high, and we cannot afford to keep paying it.
Let’s come together. Let’s do better. Let’s be the change our community so desperately needs.
