Currently, the packaging industry is undergoing a transformation process from a linear to a circular economy. The aim is to reduce the consumption of fossil raw materials as well as the carbon footprint of the industry. Under current conditions, it is not possible to use recyclates from mechanical recycling for packaging that comes into contact with sensitive products. This prevents closed-loop recycling of these packagings. In order to close the loop, we need bridge technologies such as chemical recycling. At the ZLV Packaging Symposium organized by the University of Kempten on September 12 and 13 📅, Valeska Haux will give a talk about chemical recycling. In her position as Vice President Marketing & Sustainability at SÜDPACK, she is convinced of the need for closed-loop recycling of plastics. This technology is an essential component of a sustainable packaging industry 🌱. In the talk, she will present the innovative technology CARBOLIQ. What sets this technology apart is its wide processing window for different infeed materials as well as its high energy efficiency. Valeska Haux will also explain that a successful transformation in our industry requires not only recyclable products suitable for closed loops, but also holistic business models which involve all stakeholders along the value chain 🤝. 🔗Find details of the program and register here: https://lnkd.in/eg757sqG #chemicalrecycling #sustainability #SÜDPACK
