We’re proud to celebrate International Women’s Day. Our Co-op has always championed the rights of women. In 1844, 74 years before women could vote in national elections, we gave women the very first opportunity in the UK to vote as member-owners. To our present-day policies of fertility leave, menopause policy, social mobility, inclusion and diversity, and apprenticeships that support female colleagues’ career progress. Internationally, our commitment to Fairtrade is contributing to women’s equality around the world. We’ve done some fantastic work to increase female representation in leadership roles within our business, which is now at 43%, our gender pay gap has reduced and our colleague-led network Co-op Aspire is dedicated to empowering women across Co-op. As a cooperative, we are owned by you. We stand together in female solidarity and support #AccelerateAction towards gender equality this International Women’s Day and every single day. #IWD2025
