SMBC celebrated its first class of mentees in the U.S.-Japan Women Leaders Initiative Group Mentoring Program, which aims to accelerate the professional development of Japanese working women in the U.S. SMBC proudly supports this initiative through our long-running partnership with the Japan Society. Together with our executive program sponsor and mentor Stephanie Bowker, we recognized this year's graduates at an event earlier this week. Mentors are carefully selected based on their professional expertise and commitment to fostering women’s empowerment within the U.S.-Japan workplace. SMBC had one mentor and two mentees, Ayaka Nomura and Noriko Nakamura, participate in events, workshops, and mentorship sessions throughout the program. We are honored to be a part of a society that facilitates these important discussions, while promoting collaboration between the U.S. and Japan, and we look forward to supporting a new group of mentors and mentees in the coming year. #TeamSMBC #Leadership
