Yesterday, Summit County Public Health presented my office with a certificate designating us a Recovery Friendly Workplace. By recognizing recovery from substance use disorder as a strength and intentionally creating a supportive environment, we can help reduce the stigma of addiction that prevents so many from getting the help they need. We are very proud to be a part of this initiative and appreciate Public Health offering it to employers in the community. Junior Data Scientist @ Ama Earth Group | Behavior-Centric Operations and Data Analyst | Tech for Social Good
When it comes to creating change and driving to close care gaps, you don't have to be in the field of question. No conversation is too inconsequential, it can be uncomfortable to introduce topics like #BlackMaternalHealth within your inner circle. Being an advocate and amplifier can feel alienating, but it's nothing compared to the way certain groups who need our support must feel. We can all be drivers of change within our respective environments. No matter the subject. Only through community, will we progress humanity. I can't wait to showcase how I can contribute not just through conceptual discussion but through data-driven insights with actionable recommendations!
#BlackMaternalHealthWeek continues! Today, join us in amplifying the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene's Maternal Home Collaborative (MHC) critical mission: a 10% reduction in Black maternal mortality and improving health outcomes for new families. Watch the full video featuring FPHNYC CEO Sara Gardner and CDO Maritza Arroyo discussing the importance of raising awareness for this crucial issue: https://lnkd.in/eBekCXDe As Sara emphasizes, "Everybody needs to understand this issue and what they can personally do about it." I just read this report. Love when outcomes cover qualitative and quantitative data, and breakouts for groups like BIPOC and neurodiverse. Insights into new pilot programs and initiatives are really interesting too! #mentalhealth #research #outcomes #clientoutcomes #youthmentalhealth #qualitativeresearch #mbc #data #dataquality

"With patient navigation, [it's] that extra layer of checking in with somebody, making sure that all of their socioeconomic needs are met, and their mental health needs are addressed within a family planning visit, and any other need that may arise that may contribute to their physical health that the provider is not able to address at that visit. " In our latest video, learn how the Konza Prairie Community Health Center, a #TitleX funded service site, partners with a local agency to provide patient navigation services that address maternal health needs and help to deliver #WholePersonCare in rural Kansas: https://lnkd.in/gfHa4wEU
