  • Happy National Intern Day! This summer, the Executive's Office is hosting student interns in our Departments of Finance & Budget, HR, Communications, Law & Risk Management, Job & Family Services, and the Medical Examiner's Office. Our student interns gain valuable, transferable skills that enrich their current studies and expand their horizons. We might be biased, but we think public service in local government is a great way to dip your toe into the job market as a college student! Thanks for spending the summer with us! ☀

  • Yesterday, Summit County Public Health presented my office with a certificate designating us a Recovery Friendly Workplace.   By recognizing recovery from substance use disorder as a strength and intentionally creating a supportive environment, we can help reduce the stigma of addiction that prevents so many from getting the help they need. We are very proud to be a part of this initiative and appreciate Public Health offering it to employers in the community.
