🔰Level Up! Achieved my new certification: Accountability from EvolveCareers and Common Purpose. This course was amazing - learned from industry leaders like Helen Webb OBE (Chief People Officer at the Co-op) about staying curious and learning on the job (key for today's market!) Internships, clubs & groups in university are essential to build those in-demand soft skills. 🌍 Diverse Experiences Matter: Alvin Ng (VP & GM at Johnson Controls) advises grabbing every chance to gain hands-on experience - it broadens your perspective and prepares you for lifelong learning! 🏢 Go Beyond Big Companies: Amelia Carrozzi (Change Manager at Westpac Group) highlights the value of working with small businesses too! Don't limit yourself to just big-name internships. 🔧 Embrace New Fields: Cassidy Clark at GROW says a well-rounded university experience is key! Think of yourself as a Swiss Army Knife - versatile and ready for anything! ✈️ Seek Cross-Cultural Opportunities: Shveta Sarin from the Shell Foundation emphasises the power of working abroad and for causes you care about. These experiences can supercharge your personal & professional growth! ⏰ Group Projects = Growth: Hsern-Wei Ling reminds us that teamwork teaches crucial skills like dealing with different personalities, resolving conflicts, and meeting deadlines - sometimes the journey is more valuable than the destination! 🕰️ Be Intentional: Hsern-Wei Ling also recommends taking 5 minutes before & after meetings to prepare & reflect. This simple practice can boost your learning and performance! 🌱 Build Lasting Relationships: Cassidy Clark says connections can open doors long after experiences end. Build genuine relationships, not just transactional ones! For me, the focus on relationships & diverse experiences really resonated. Let's all be more intentional about expanding our networks - it can lead to amazing opportunities & ideas! 💡🌐 Huge thanks to Allan Ang, Iffath Mansoor, Alvin Ng, Amelia Carrozzi, Cassidy Clark, Shveta Sarin, and Hsern-Wei Ling for sharing their valuable insights! 🙏✨ #Accountability #CareerDevelopment #EvolveCareers #commonpurpose #LearningAndGrowth #Leadership #Networking #SoftSkills

There are only three months left in the year, so there's absolutely nothing I can achieve in 90 days. If you’re thinking this way, it’s time to change your mindset. Ninety days is more than enough time to make meaningful progress. If you’re thinking of putting off your goals until the new year, it's time to rethink that strategy. Here’s why the last three months are still valuable: ✔ You can still sign up for that course you've been considering. ✔ There’s time to apply for that job or internship you’ve been eyeing. ✔ Attend webinars or events that could open doors for you. ✔ Start that personal project you’ve been putting off. ✔ Build or enhance your personal brand. •➤ Remember, it’s never too late to set goals and take meaningful action. Every step you take now, no matter how small, brings you closer to your future. •➤ Don’t wait for January to create change. Start today and make October the beginning of something amazing. Final thought: The difference between those who achieve and those who wait is action. So, what small step will you take today? • In 90days the year would be over • How are you planning for 2025? PS: What’s one thing you’re proud of accomplishing in September? For me, it was hitting a major milestone - feeling like a 9.5 out of 10. Happy new week Everyone✨

This month, I celebrated my 20th birthday. {not gonna lie this month has been one of the toughest months of my life too :) } But here's what I have learned through the process and to be honest I am still a student, still learning. On reaching this milestone, I’m struck by how much growth and learning has shaped my journey. I remember turning 18 and feeling the weight of expectations and the excitement of new beginnings. My college life began with its fair share of challenges— through a new environment, discovering my passions, and facing setbacks that felt like roadblocks. Each of these experiences, though daunting at the time, has been a crucial part of my growth. One of the most valuable lessons I've learned is the importance of enjoying one's own company ( to respect and to love yourself regardless ). There were moments when failure seemed like the end, but looking back, I realize these were the moments that taught me the most about perseverance and self-belief. For instance, when I faced a tough period and felt disheartened, it was these setbacks that ignited my drive to push forward and strive for my goals with renewed determination. Another lesson has been the significance of genuine connections. Whether through my involvement in various societies here at DU or my role at various internships, I've come to appreciate the power of building meaningful relationships. These connections have not only provided support but have also opened doors to incredible opportunities. Turning 20 has been a moment of gratitude. It’s a reminder that the journey of self-discovery and growth is ongoing, and every experience, good or bad, contributes to who we become. Here’s to respecting the future with optimism and continuing to learn and grow every day. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey so far. Cheers to the next chapter! #PersonalGrowth #LifeLessons #Turning20 #SelfDiscovery #Resilience #GrowthMindset #JourneyOfGrowth #LearningFromFailure #ProfessionalJourney #MeaningfulConnections #MilestoneMoments #Reflections #CareerDevelopment #StudentLife #FutureGoals

🕺Life at Impact🕺 I’m Jack Casey, one of the Co-Founders here at Impact Consulting. In a typical day, I connect with higher education leaders to help them embed more experiential learning into their degree programmes, while leading our amazing team based in London, alongside Jamie Abbott. 📣Recent Highlights📣 As Summer gets into full swing, there’s no better time to reflect on what has been an incredible past academic year, which has seen us engage 1,222 university students in work experience as part of their degree through 25 partner universities. From consulting projects in Colombia 🇨🇴 to international internships with companies across North America 🌎, to internships, projects and placements with 200+ socially impactful businesses based in the UK 🇬🇧, we’ve worked hand-in-hand with University deans, careers and employability leaders, and programme directors to truly scale work-based learning 🚀. After a hectic year, soon I’ll be making the most of the university academic calendar by taking 2 weeks off to travel to Thailand! 🌴✈️ Something to Take Away💡 “Most people overestimate what they can do in one year and underestimate what they can do in ten years.” – Bill Gates If you’re someone who’s recently made a big change in life - like changing career paths, moving countries, pursuing a new degree, or starting a business - I think this is such a great quote to keep reminding yourself of. As the weeks and months go by, it’s likely you’ll go through some tough times where you may even doubt yourself or think you’ve made the wrong decision, but you’re literally just at the start. All great things take time, patience, and resilience, so always remind yourself of the long term! 💪⏳

“The ladder of success is best climbed by stepping on the rungs of opportunity.” - Ayn Rand, an esteemed American author and philosopher This quote from Ayn Rand is truly inspiring and has always resonated with me. It beautifully captures the essence of my personal growth. This quote emphasizes that success is not solely determined by our ambitions, but rather by our ability to recognize and make the most of the opportunities that present themselves. This quote prompts deep introspection into the various stages of my personal growth. From an early age, I was driven by ambitious aspirations that impacted my development and continue to inspire me as I write these lines. Throughout middle and high school, while harboring ambitions and a burning passion for extraordinary achievements, I continually let golden opportunities pass me by due to a sense of comfort and fear of failure. Fortunately, upon entering university, thanks to my friends at RMIT Vietnam, that pushed me to join the Business and Finance Club and immerse myself in the academic programs and activities that I am passionate about. As a result, I began to fully embrace opportunities and dedicate myself to personal growth, which eventually led to my role as club leader and collaborations with prestigious companies and brilliant individuals. These experiences have been truly transformative for both my personal growth and professional journey. Now, imagine if you could take this concept of seizing opportunities and apply it on a global scale. That's exactly what AIESEC's Global Talent program offers. AIESEC, an international youth-led organization, aims to nurture the next generation through diverse and challenging internships worldwide. The program places participants in internships abroad, providing a chance to develop professional expertise in a global setting. Join AIESEC’s Global Talent Program and turn your potential into reality. Remember, every great journey begins with a single step, or in this case, by stepping onto a new rung of global opportunities. Remember, don’t let dreams be dreams! ----------------------------------- Global Talent is an internship program of the international youth-led organization AIESEC, providing young people with an internship experience at a company abroad for 6 - 78 weeks, to develop leadership skills and aim towards professional career development in a global setting. 📌 Register to receive consultation and start your career with Global Talent now: https://lnkd.in/g4naXq2C 📌 Join group International Internship with AIESEC now: https://lnkd.in/ggb_SmEn
