OUR TALLINN FACTORIES MOVED TO NEW PREMISES Reimax’s Tallinn factories have moved under the same roof during January 2024. The new premises, located in the Allika industrial area, right on the border of Tallinn at Angerja tee 59, are designed to meet the requirements of today’s industry. The facilities are 6,000 m² in size and offer better opportunities for optimizing production lines and being environmentally friendly. The factory’s move to new premises is a significant step towards a sustainable and competitive future. The new modern premises enable production to be made more efficient and at the same time bring new development opportunities. #OttoGroup is opening ultra-modern #Shuttle-DC in Altenkunstadt today: #Lighthouse project in European #eCommerce Around two years after the groundbreaking ceremony, the Otto Group celebrated the opening of its new #shuttle #warehouse by #TGWLogistics in #Altenkunstadt today. More than hundred invited guests were on site when Kay Schiebur, CEO Service of the #OttoGroup, and Kamil Christoph Kasprowicz, CEO #Baur #HermesFulfilment, together with the Bavarian #StateSecretary #MartinSchöffel, officially opened the newly built #shuttle #warehouse. Project at a glance: - 208 meters long, 74 meters wide and 23 meters high, greenfield building with a total of 16,000 square meters. - The Otto Group #invested around 150 million #Euros in the expansion and technological modernization of the location. - The #fully #automated new building expands the existing #fulfillmentcenter and makes Altenkunstadt one of the most #modern and #largest logistics locations in Europe. Evolution of Our Production Journey: Past, Present, and Future Plans In the early stages of Glamping UA, when we were testing the concept of a glamping business, we outsourced all manufacturing to contractor factories. Fabrics, metal components, wood - all were sourced from external suppliers, while we focused on assembling the glamping tents ourselves. The dynamism of Ukrainian business enabled us to easily identify partners delivering superior quality. However, we recognized the inherent risk of dependence on third-party entities, as any hiccup with a partner could potentially jeopardize our commitment to our clients. Adhering to our core principle of never disappointing our clients, investing a large part of our income into expanding our production capacity emerged as a strategic imperative. • In 2019, we initiated our journey towards self-sufficiency by renting our first production facility, housing both wood and metal workshops. • By 2022, we had taken over the PVC welding process entirely. • Our sewing workshop achieved full operational status in 2023. As we transitioned into 2024, we proudly accomplished a fully integrated production cycle. Our journey doesn't end here. We recently acquired the premises of an old factory, currently undergoing reconstruction. This strategic move accelerates our capacity to scale production processes rapidly.

Job cuts in glass manufacturing sites in Slovenia and Finland Workers at the Steklarna Rogaška #glass site in #Slovenia and the Iittala tableware facility in Finland are to lose their jobs. Parent company Fiskars Group said it would cut 155 jobs from the glass manufacturing facility at Rogaska and 18 roles at the Iittala glassworks. The group also plans to implement furloughs of maximum 90 days concerning maximum 137 employees at the Iittala factory to reduce elevated inventories. In addition, the company said it was planning to invest €15 million in the Rogaska glass factory, where many luxury brand #Waterford’s crystal products are manufactured. The aim of the investment is to modernise the factory and improve its competitiveness. It will also lead to reductions in carbon dioxide emissions. Nathalie Ahlström, Fiskars Group’s President and CEO, said: the company was managing the group profile more towards premium and luxury brands by focusing on design and craftmanship. “Iittala and Rogaska factories continue to be an important part of our manufacturing footprint, as demonstrated by the investments we make in them. A contract has been signed with the furniture giant IKEA to a value of approximately SEK 22 million (€1.9m). Saxlund's 🇸🇪 Swedish subsidiary Saxlund International Holding AB has signed a contract with 🇵🇱 IKEA Industry Poland SP. z o. o. The agreement concerns flue gas purification equipment and the delivery will take place in 2024. Saxlund has signed an agreement with IKEA Industri Poland SP. z o. o. which is part of the IKEA Group. IKEA is one of the world's largest furniture manufacturers. Globally, the group has 460 furniture stores in 62 countries and approximately 166,200 employees. Their production facility in Poland uses an existing Saxlund facility that now needs to update its flue gas treatment to meet the legal requirement that comes into force in 2025. Examining Nihonbashi from Katsushika Hokusai's artwork to the present day reveals the transformation of the central district of old Edo. Nihonbashi (日本橋, meaning "Japan Bridge") stands as a pivotal point in Tokyo and Japan. The bridge, from which the district derives its name, served as the starting point for Japan's national highway network since the early Edo Period. Initially constructed as a wooden bridge, Nihonbashi was later rebuilt in stone during the Meiji Period. However, just before the 1964 Summer Olympics, an expressway was constructed over Nihonbashi. In recent times, local residents have urged the government to relocate this expressway underground. Construction has commenced and is projected to conclude by the fiscal year 2041. Throughout the centuries, the Nihonbashi district has thrived commercially, adorned with vibrant shops lining the streets and canals. Many shops with extensive histories spanning centuries still grace the district, inviting delightful strolls. Its initial development owes much to the Mitsui family, who established their wholesale business in Nihonbashi and introduced Japan's inaugural department store, Mitsukoshi. The Edo-era fish market once situated in Nihonbashi preceded the Tsukiji and Toyosu Markets. Over time, Nihonbashi evolved into Tokyo's (and Japan's) primary financial hub. Recent revitalization efforts have rejuvenated the Nihonbashi district with tasteful new additions. The prospect of witnessing the view of Mount Fuji 🗻 from the bridge once more is an enticing thought!
