There are many parts of Africa that deserves much more attention and visits. I am sure management by you in combination with operational management by the Owners will vater for investors and delicate development
I just spent 3 days in #Zambia's Western Province. Striking beauty, some of the nicest people and cultures I have every observed. Yet, poverty and drought affects everybody and in particular villages along the Zambezi river. In turn, this means even more unsustainable fishing practices. Listen to my friend Morris from #Everwild on communities and the role of responsible tourism operators. Two top observations: 1) Everybody should visit Barotseland. There is no better place to restore faith in humanity. 2) Investors, tourism operators, communities and authorities are highly interdependent and can make a massive difference if well-handled. The journey around the world to our 54 joint ventures and long-term partnerships continues. Further south to Peru. Located on the west coast of South America, Peru is the third largest country on the continent in terms of area. It has extensive national borders with Ecuador, Colombia, Brazil, Bolivia and Chile. The country's capital is Lima. Three landscape zones characterize Peru geographically: The so-called Costa with the dry coastal regions. The Atacama Desert begins in this zone in the south. The Sierra with the highlands and foothills of the Andes. And the Selva, the rainforests or cloud forests. Among the country's almost 34 million inhabitants, there are still many indigenous groups who still rely on traditional occupations and farming methods. The road network is around 73,000 kilometers long. In recent years, the country has pushed ahead with the expansion of the highways that run through the Andes. #forgivingmobilityasmartandsecurefuture #tönnjesinternationalgroup #rainrfid

MARINE ARTERIES - NATIONS of THE GREAT BEAR 5 Overlapping First Nations Claims intersect around Butedale. Great Bear Rainforest-Great Bear Sea, British Columbia, Canada The Butedale Development Package is the only commercial, non-partisan, location of its kind, in the heart of the internationally recognized Great Bear Area. Seafaring First Nations, noted on the attached map, knew the location, prior to “European contact”, as Butedale and its landmark waterfall are on the main artery of the Inside Passage, near its intersection with other primary marine arteries of the Great Bear Sea. Intersecting Claims and a network of Spirit Bear Conservancies around Butedale indicate that indigenous residents of the Great Bear value the location. Appreciation of the water power potential and other location attributes led to the establishment of Butedale in 1911.. The natural endowments are described in various project documents (current related assets include: large fresh water reservoir, hydro-electric licenses, deep tide-water port, freehold lands + recently installed fibre optic cable). -Historic location of a Canada Customs-Port of Entry at Butedale highlight that it is a "Natural centre within the Great Bear”. -Maritime Route to World Markets for the multi-billion dollar LNG Canada Project crosses through the Great Bear, near Butedale. -Hundreds of millions of dollars of Conservation Related Funding is earmarked for the Great Bear Sea - Great Bear Rainforest. The above-noted factors point towards possible futures for the maritime centre. OPPORTUNITY exists for an Indigenous-led entity(s) to realize the futures related to the Butedale package, in a manner that can be beneficial to all area residents, British Columbians, Canada and International Visitors. INSIDE PASSAGE MARINE is currently working with a list of qualified contractors to update project quotes. Just dig pits, nothing more, nothing less! There is hope! Nature is capable of restoration! It doesn't even require much. As seen in the video, it's simply about digging pits (bunds). The video showcases the project in Arusha, Tanzania. It becomes greener and greener every year. In just three years, the area has transformed from a bare and degraded land before the pits were dug into a green region. Trees are also planted on existing, still intact stumps. It's a project by the Lead Foundation Tanzania in collaboration with Justdiggit and Trias. With the slogan 'Cooling down the planet,' Justdiggit aims to turn dry areas in Africa green again. They have already restored 400,000 hectares of land and brought back 13.9 million trees. They also focus extensively on awareness and collaborate with the local population. Awareness campaigns have reached 291 million people. The pits collect rainwater, which is absorbed by the soil, saturating it. This naturally brings back vegetation. The channels and vegetation prevent further erosion. The evaporation of moisture from the new growth provides cooling and more regular rainfall. It is a misconception that it doesn't rain in dry areas. It does, often briefly and intensely. Due to the hard ground, water flows away before it can infiltrate the soil. These pits, about 5 meters deep, retain the water and can hold 2100 liters. This has several benefits: - Temperature reduction: vegetation cools the environment by providing shade; the temperature difference can be more than 10℃. CO2 absorption by vegetation. - Transpiration (water evaporating from plants) cools the environment and increases moisture in the air. - Soil restoration: more vegetation means more organic material, thus more nutrients and more water in the soil. - Increase in crop yields & income for local populations through land restoration. - Bringing back vegetation and restoring ecosystems improves biodiversity and the living environment for various animal and plant species. Justdiggit has a high ambition. In 10 years, they aim to green Africa and thus cool down the Earth! If you want to contribute, you can donate to have pits dug by the local population, who then earn money for it – a win-win. #leadership #sustainability #newbeginnings #positivemindset #justdiggit
