One of the services we provide at Wisdom Tree Communities is advocacy, where we give a voice to parents whose children face educational challenges. This journey can often be quite isolating for parents and even more challenging for the children involved. When challenging systems or systemic problems, it can feel like you’re up against the world. This quote reminded me of all the parents I have stood with so they could “stand up for their child and stand against the world.” As I always say, an empowered parent raises an empowered child. I dedicate this quote to all the parents who understand they are their child’s first advocate. #Advocacy #ParentSupport #EmpoweredParenting #ChildEducation #WisdomTreeCommunities #EducationalChallenges #SystemicChange #ParentalAdvocacy #Empowerment #StandUpForChildren

🌟 From Summer's End to New Beginnings: My Journey of Empowerment and Advocacy 🌟 As summer transitions into fall, I'm embracing the notion that every ending brings the promise of a new beginning. 🍂 This past season has been a period of introspection and personal development. 🔶Educational Consultant and Advocate for Children and Caregivers 🔶Mediator & Civil Rights Compliance Specialist for Entities
Kindness & Curiosity Advocating for children facing bullying and discrimination is a natural instinct for parents. Approaching decision-makers with skepticism and hostility may not always yield the desired results. Success in advocacy efforts often comes from maintaining a respectful yet firm tone. Recognizing that most decision-makers genuinely want to support children is crucial. Misunderstandings often stem from differing perspectives or a lack of awareness of the child's needs. By embracing kindness and curiosity in these conversations, barriers can be broken down, fostering understanding even if these qualities are not reciprocated. In such situations, being the bigger person can bring more benefits than harm. Let kindness and curiosity lead your advocacy efforts. #Kindness #Curiosity #Advocacy #ChildrensRights #IEP #Accommodations #IEPmeeting

Executive Coach | Passionate Communicator | I help professionals make fulfilling choices for the second part of their life through a clear, powerful, and action-driven journey
In recent posts, I've delved into the concept of purpose primarily as an individual pursuit. Oprah Winfrey sheds light on the significance of a common purpose. I've come to realise that the notions of individual and common purpose are intricately connected. Take, for example, a purpose to actively advocate for the preservation of bees in your region. In doing so, you become part of a broader collective effort embraced by thousands of individuals, locally and beyond. Whether consciously or not, we contribute to a collective endeavour when we align our efforts with the causes we believe in. #AlexandraHumbel #Transitions #CareerTransition #CareerChange #LifeCoach #OprahWinfrey #Purpose #CollectivePurpose #CommunityEffort #Advocacy #Collaboration #SharedGoals #SocialImpact #Contribution #CauseAlignment

Have you ever been questioned about your motives for advocating for students? Sounds strange right? It's a common experience I have encountered personally and while working with educators and coaches. The first thing I do is remind them that those who criticize them should be the ones contributing to their efforts. In addition to asking questions and advocating on behalf of students, those who should be advocating for them may begin to feel insecure about what you uncover. It is nothing personal! Remember, you are making a difference in the lives of your students and that is what is most important. Don't let anyone, regardless of their title, discourage you from advocating for what is right for students. #education #advocacy #studentsuccess
