𝑯𝒖𝒎𝒂𝒏 𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒊𝒗𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒆 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒚 – 𝒅𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒆𝒆𝒑 𝒖𝒑 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒎 𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉?
When speaking to trainees who are entering the recruitment world, their motivations are always around money and progression
When digging deeper on this, they can’t always tell you what they want those things for
However, when speaking to recruiters with 5+ years’ experience in recruitment, they can give you a very clear idea of what they want
Whether this be setting up on their own, wanting to pay off their mortgage, relocate to a new country, afford school fees for their children, or pretty much anything else you can think of
With these changes in motivations, it is so important to keep up with your team and what is most important to them
If you have someone who has historically been an excellent performer, but their numbers are down, it doesn’t help to only focus on where they’re struggling, but WHY they’re struggling and to remind them of what they’re doing this for
Have those honest and in-depth conversations with your colleagues and employees, it may be that the simplest change in structure can help get them back on their feet
If you as a recruiter have had those conversations, but nothing has changed, then get in touch for a chat around which companies can support your motivations!
