In 2023 Funding Master wrote or directly advised clients on grant applications that secured €4.35 million. In the first 5 months of 2024, Funding Master wrote grant applications worth €4.4 million (too early to know the outcomes of these applications). We can help clients in 3 ways: 1. We can work with you as a client on an ongoing strategic basis on several grant applications. 2. We can write a one-off grant application for your organisation. 3. We can support or advise your internal grant writers on how to strengthen applications. Our clients are organisations in the public, third and private sectors. For a non-committal conversation, send an email to ken@fundingmaster.eu and we will set up a video call to discuss your specific requirements.

Let me tell you the BRUTAL TRUTH about why your grant applications keep getting rejected. In my experience helping organizations win grants, I've reviewed thousands of applications. The number one reason for rejection isn't what you think. It's not bad grammar. It's not lack of experience. It's not even "small" budgets. It's this: Most people write grant applications like they're writing a SERMON. They preach about their good intentions. They ramble about their passion. They talk endlessly about their dreams. But here's what funders actually want to see: 1. EVIDENCE of previous impact (even small wins count) 2. CLEAR numbers showing the problem you're solving 3. SPECIFIC plans for using their money 4. MEASURABLE outcomes you'll achieve 5. REALISTIC timelines for implementation Stop preaching. Start proving. When you shift from "let me tell you my story" to "let me show you the evidence", everything changes. I've seen organizations go from zero to securing millions in grant funding just by making this one shift. Look at your last rejected application. How much space did you spend on stories vs evidence? Be honest with yourself. Found this post insightful? Share to help fellow change-makers secure more funding.

⭐ Focus on identifying funders that align with your mission and objectives. ⭐ Understanding the importance of targeting funders whose values and goals align with your organization's mission is crucial in the grant-seeking process. When you identify funders that share similar values and priorities, it creates a natural synergy that can significantly enhance your chances of securing funding. Moreover, finding a funder whose mission aligns with yours also fosters a stronger partnership and collaboration. When funders see that your business shares their values and that you're committed to advancing similar causes, they are more likely to view your proposal favorably and potentially provide ongoing support beyond the initial grant. Ready to put these tips into action and secure the funding you need? 📞 Book a Grant Writing Session with Dr. Ebony Grey, and develop a winning strategy tailored to your organization's needs and goals. #DrEbonyGrey #GrantWritingSession #AllAboutGrants #smallbusinessowners #blackwomenownedbusiness

"Where are the people you support?" I spend a lot of time reading draft funding proposals - and too often find myself asking this question. Often the proposal is beautifully written, with a well-evidenced need, a clear list of outcomes, and a convincing summary of the organisation's work. But the service users / beneficiaries are hiding in the background. There aren't enough quotes, stories, photos - or the ones used are too generic, out of date, or hidden deep in the document. This stuff needs to be there, and it needs to be on page 1. It has to jump off the page, and establish that human connection from the very start. This has always been important. But with the number of applications piling up in funders' inboxes, you need to take every opportunity to stand out from the crowd. Make sure the people you support are front and centre in every funding proposal. Write this on a post-it and stick it somewhere prominent. Remind your colleagues. Don't let any proposal out the door without checking it. Trust me, it makes the world of difference.
