Teamwork learned from Cicadas this week: I spent a great week in Chicago this week with one of our clients and then for a team meeting. If you don't live in Chicago, you may not be aware of the volume of the 17-year cicada brood. When I say 'volume' it isn't just numbers, it is sound-level-volume. They are LOUD. It took some getting used to the noise and chaos, but once I stopped to really assess, there was a symphonic quality to the sound. How do each of their different sounds come together to sound like waves crashing on a beach? It is a good reminder to bring our voices together for aligned purpose on our teams, even when we come from different places. Check out the video of the Chicago Cicadas for an idea of what our Nova Advisory team heard this week. #NovaAdvisory #ChicagoCicadas #Teamwork

🚀 #NEXTLEVEL CONVERSATIONS 🚀 A demanding environment in which people will thrive should also be kind, generous and collaborative 🌱 These are values that we have nurtured at Moalem Weitemeyer in the past 15 years and counting. They are deeply-rooted and extend beyond our own team. They are reflected in how we work with our clients who, as Julie Levin points out in the video, are always our priority. And as Simon Winther Bjerregaard says, they are reflected in how we approach our work with colleagues at other law firms. Take a minute to watch the last video in the series, at least for now, with Senior Associates Julie Levin and Simon Winther Bjerregaard. Ever since we started our #NextLevel journey, each of us has taken a series of small steps towards achieving our common strategy. Over the past two weeks, we have internally at Moalem Weitemeyer shared one selected milestone per working group as a warm-up for the first milestone celebration of the year which we are hosting this afternoon – and we are excited! A big thank you to everyone who participated in these conversations and to everyone for watching 🙌 It has been inspiring, and we look forward to returning with more conversations later on. You can rewatch all our #NextLevel conversations on our Vimeo channel (link in comments) 🎞️ ▶️ What types of conversation topics would YOU like to see more of? #wecelebrate #wecollaborate #weinspire #teamwork #team #kindandgenerous #accountability #journey

We came up with interesting stats that wrap up our last 30 years at Arellano Associates. 🧮 Many of these milestones would not be possible without the power of partnership, including our valued connections with community stakeholders, teaming partners, and, of course, our dedicated team members. Which of these Arellano facts are your favorite? #powerofpartnership #arellanoassociates #30thanniversary #30yearsinbusiness #30in30

At our most recent Vistage meeting, we heard from Jeff Blackman, a highly regarded, longtime Vistage speaker who spoke to the group on 'selling and succeeding in a changing world.' Asking great questions (power probes), honing your elevator speech, and overcoming common objections are just a few of the highly relevant and practical ideas now firmly in our toolkit. #CEO #leadershipdevelopment #vistageworks

9moLove this analogy, Susan! The volume and sound was intense in middle Georgia throughout May. Glad they have moved up north 😬
