Congratulations Westwood Community Church for winning the 2023 Recommissioning Project of the Year Award! Thank you CenterPoint Energy for the support and recognition at the CNP Technical Conference this June. Westwood was experiencing high energy bills and an over-stretched facility staff. The past 9 months, natural gas consumption is down 45%, equivalent to $43,000. The project was so successful, the church didn’t have to invest in larger offering plates. Great job Jim Theis. This week, two PUC staffers, Regina Carter (L) and Jaime McClintock (R) attended an Equity Roundtable in Arlington, VA, where they are taking a leadership role among state utility commissions in how we develop and implement energy equity strategies. The Roundtable is hosted by NASEO - National Association of State Energy Officials/NARUC/National Association of State Consumer Utility Advocates, and is delving into Equity Considerations in Electric Planning, Programs and Policy. Objectives are to spotlight innovative equity work done by states, explore equity aspects of beneficial electrification and related policies and program, and identify relevant state and regional programmatic, regulatory, and policy challenges and opportunities related to equity.

Without rewiring the electric can be organised as a 'tree' of nested grids each with 'resources' that generate, store and consume energy. these resources are both local and remote. Each of these nested grids is managed by its own controller that communicates with these resources to match generating and consumption locally complemented with remote consumption and generating.
