As soon as I heard about this master class, I constantly watched the ShadowBox training site ( https://lnkd.in/dYmqfUHu ) to see when it would be available.
As said, is so nice how Gary Klein was able to express in such simple words more than 40 years of important discoveries. These videos are easy to understand and with immediate applications.
For me it sums up a lot of the things which are, I believe, so important to be known in IT (in testing, programming, management, agility, audits, internships).
Together with my team, full of software programmers, we have watched these videos. While watching the videos we were able to identify elements that were/are useful in the current setting we are in.
But it is more, I felt like these videos were made for software testing which is in such a bad state. I think that a one-day testing class can be done to show how concepts ( like mental models, intuition, gaining expertise, risk assessment, fixation,...) map with the software testing I am thinking about.
Regarding management and audits, it is enough to say that we are glad that we have applied pre-mortem several times already and we are happy that we did this.
These videos, I believe, can act as an important trigger to go, and dig deeper regarding Gary Klein and Naturalistic Decision Making Association work.
