The City of Goodyear Public Works Department received the award for Best Safety Training Program for its holistic approach to a culture of safety, using 12 safety training and awareness programs, Standard Operating Procedure training, and its use of safety software systems.  "Our employee safety training program is a foundational pillar on which we have built a culture of safety within the organization,” said Operations Readiness Coordinator Charles Schneider. "Seeing our Solid Waste Division recognized by SWANA is a testament to their hard work in keeping employees trained in critical workplace safety programs."         “It is an honor to receive this award, which reflects our team's dedication to enhancing safety training and equipping our staff to work smarter and safer every day,” said Solid Waste Superintendent Adam Kurtz. "This recognition from SWANA celebrates our hard work and inspires us to continue leading with safety at the forefront of all our operations.
