The Legal 500 (Legalease) has published the third edition of the Global Green Guide, the first global platform to analyse the legal sector’s commitment to the green transition.   The recognition as a “Recommended Firm” in the Global EMEA Green Guide for Italy confirms #Chiomenti’s leadership in supporting clients during the transition to sustainability. This outcome is due to a collective commitment towards a more sustainable economy in the areas of sustainable finance, corporate governance, energy & infrastructure and real estate sustainability, and the implementation of projects such as the #WeCare campaign, launched in 2019, as well as acknowledgements such as the EcoVadis certification, first obtained in 2020.   Chiomenti remains at the forefront of adopting sustainable practices. ESG, standing for Environmental, Social, and Governance, is a pivotal framework guiding organizations in managing risks and opportunities associated with these crucial criteria. At its core, an ESG strategy signifies a holistic organizational approach, aligning practices to enhance business sustainability. Now, more than ever, the triumph of a business is intricately linked to a robust ESG strategy. The event, which took place at the end of November, offered a unique opportunity to delve deeper into the world of ESG. Organized in Poznań, it aimed to equip participants with practical knowledge and inspiration in the realm of sustainability. 🌱 Exciting News: Presenting my Mini-Thesis on the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive [Directive 2022/2464/EU] 🌍   I am thrilled to announce that on 3 October 2023, I had the opportunity to present the key findings of my mini-thesis as part of the Research and Writing Skills course at Erasmus University Rotterdam. My research delves into the fascinating realm of sustainability reporting and the newly introduced Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive, set to take effect from the 2024 financial year, impacting sustainability reports published in 2025. In an era where corporate social responsibility and sustainable business practices are of paramount importance, the CSRD is a significant milestone. It addresses the challenges and opportunities that companies face as they navigate the path to a more sustainable future. While the Directive undoubtedly presents certain challenges, particularly with regard to compliance costs, it also introduces provisions that serve as a potential catalyst for behavioral change. By encouraging companies to embrace a more comprehensive and sustainable approach, it aims to reshape their roles within society. This shift towards a more sustainable future is not only crucial for businesses but also for our planet and future generations.
