Such scenarios are avoidable, and at FASTSIGNS Manchester and we faced this challenge head-on with England Lacrosse during the National Schools Lacrosse Championships. They needed adaptable, clear signage that could evolve as quickly as the event itself. Here it is. The moment football clubs and manufactures around the world are waiting for. It’s the 2024-25 “FOOTBALL KIT RANKING DAY!”. As always, thanks to everyone for their submissions, its been another tough year with some great kits that didn’t quite make the final cut. The trends, I hear you ask? Last year we saw lots of greens, this year I could have done a top-five for white kits only with lots of the manufacturers clearly favouring whites and off-whites. As always, the rules are simple: 1) I can’t pick a Blackburn shirt. Despite this year us having three incredible kits celebrating 30-years since our Premier League win (go take a look – the home kit especially), my bias means I cannot be trusted to include them, so Rovers are automatically out. 2) On a similar note, as a Blackburn fan, we have our own rules which cannot be broken and therefore Burnley shirts cannot be considered for this list. 3) One kit per team only, we’re not judging on the ‘collective’ kits. 4) The kits must be ‘match kits’, i.e. kits which will be worn by the team in competative games this season. 5) The rankings take into account, in no particular order: Football Heritage, Launch photography and film, Club Badges, Longevity, Sponsor and Manufacturer incorporation and colour scheme. As always, the top-five are in the comments below. Unfortunately, as LinkedIn pushes comments up based on their interaction, it maybe they’re not necessarily in order. Why someone at LinkedIn hasn’t changed this stupid feature specifically for this prestigious awards event is totally beyond me. Without further ado, here are your 2024-25 Football Kit Rankings…

Let me share my key takeaways: 🔺 A team of only superstars won’t win anything. Whether in sport or business, a team needs a mix and balance of different personalities and strengths to succeed. 🔺 A high-performing team needs lightness and clarity. 🔺 It’s just football. We need to let sports be sports again, without over-socializing it. Sometimes it should just be about enjoying the game. Maybe we need to get out of our heads and share in the excitement. 🔺 In society, we need to regain our ability to have a balanced debate and find common ground. And of course, we had to dive into #football, hoping for some secrets or anecdotes from the sports world. With decades of experience in global sport, Marcel knows a thing or two about competitive environments and ambitious goals. #WeAreHenkel
