Sword Thrive helped Andy get back to traveling and being active with his family after battling (and beating!) cancer took a toll on him physically. Read his story → "In 2021 I fought cancer and I won! I endured 4 months of chemo and then surgery to remove a couple of organs… I lost a lot of my physicality. It was a huge challenge to try and resume a non-sedentary life, and I was actually avoiding activities with my family and friends. My wife had access to Sword PT through her employer, and… through her Digital PT sessions she has been able to eliminate her pain. She encouraged me to join Sword, and in 2023 I met my therapist, Donna. She diagnosed my problems, created a structured therapy program, and she continually modified my sessions to address my strengths and weaknesses. About 6 months into my therapy, my family and I vacationed in San Diego… It was a lot walking! Instead of my typical 5,000 to 10,000 steps each day, I was getting 20-25,000 steps a day! …I had a great time creating memories with my wife and children and especially our grandsons. This trip wouldn’t have happened before I joined Sword."

Empowering Lessons from My Cancer Journey ✨🌸 As a cancer survivor and founder of CanHeal, I want to share three vital reminders that guided me through the toughest times: 1️⃣ No Guilt, Only Strength: Cancer is NOT your fault. Let go of guilt and embrace your inner strength. Remember, you're a warrior, not a victim. 2️⃣ Your Surgery, Your Choice: Deciding about surgery can be daunting, but remember, the power to choose is YOURS. Listen to your instincts, gather information, and make the decision that resonates with your heart. 3️⃣ Radiate Positivity: A positive mindset can work wonders. Surround yourself with love, laughter, and things that make your heart sing. Every small step forward is a victory worth celebrating. Let's walk this journey together with courage and hope. 💪💕 #cancer_to_life #CancerSurvivor #Empowerment #PositivityMatters #YouAreNotAlone #canheal #anchalsharma

Karlie Kisha's story is a powerful reminder of the resilience and strength that individuals can show even in the face of cancer. Her journey from diagnosis to remission, all while preparing for the Olympics, exemplifies the incredible determination and spirit that can inspire us all. Two weeks before the Paris Olympics she was officially in remission. 𝗜𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 (piano concert) 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲 (5G telesurgery blog)! 𝗖𝗲𝗹𝗲𝗯𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆: An emotional day to honor cancer patients and the frontline work done by cancer surgeons has been organized by incredible Martin Martino MD, MBA, Caitlin Houghton, and many others. Surgeons shared cutting-edge techniques and I was honored to present Ericsson's 5G proposition to healthcare; https://lnkd.in/eWFcfwWB. 𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗲𝘆𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗲 & 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲: In the evening, I gave another keynote on the importance of cross-disciplinarity, the work we had done between technology and music, arts, etc. I showcased how Dalia Dohler, my younger daughter, combined her passion for karate with her passion for painting. My older daughter Noa Dohler Guilera performed her first original song in front of 200 people. And I gave a short piano concert too with my original "Timeless Memories" which I had composed for my late brother. 𝟱𝗚-𝗘𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝗴: Today, the blog Vipul Patel, M.D., F.A.C.S. and I wrote on 5G-enabled telesurgery, has gone live: https://lnkd.in/enTiTX2j. Best Selling Author, AIF®, Inspirational and Motivational Speaker, 3x TEDx Speaker, Brain Cancer Survivor
#Cancer taught me how quickly life changes. It’s my #wife and #children that #inspired me to #nevergiveup 10 years ago when I had a #craniotomy to remove #Aa3. They still #inspire me today, and 9 weeks ago was my 2nd craniotomy to remove a #cavernoma. I wasn’t scared. I was ready. This was a step to alleviate any possibility I would get seizures or strokes from the growth in my head. My mind was not focused on how I’d feel after surgery, it was keyed in on spending more time with the family I love. This was a bump in the road! This is my life, I own it! When everything becomes uncertain, everything that’s important becomes clear. I learned this lesson a decade ago, and never lost sight of it. What happened recently just enhanced my appreciation of life, and how to live it the right way. . . . . #startingatthefinishline #fcancer #cancersurvivor #cancerwarrior #lessonslearned #bestsellingauthor #keynotespeaker #aa3 #pancreatic #tumor #beastmode #nevergiveup #learn #change #getit #thestorm #endcancer #dream #acceptance #mylife #cancersucks #defineyourself #fcancer #cancertaughtme #keynotespeaker #warrior #bestseller

💚Demystifying Mental Health, shattering barriers, igniting conversations. Empowering forward thinking organisations to understand & champion Mental Health Mental Health Trainer | Speaker | Cancer Awareness
It’s been a whole week since I last posted, and in that short time, so much has changed. ⏳ You'd think by now, I'd be used to the unexpected, but the truth is, it still stings every time plans shift. 😔 Covid and cancer are not exactly a match made in heaven. 😷 Just when you think you’ve adjusted to the new normal, something else is thrown your way. Most recently, it’s been the rescheduling of my mastectomy (Thanks covid). 🛑 Quite frankly, I’m gutted. This surgery was my next step forward, and now it feels like I’m back in limbo. 😕 One thing cancer teaches you is that things can change quickly. You start to realise that predictability is a luxury—one that isn’t afforded to everyone. ⚠️ But what I’ve also learned over the last 7 months is that while we can’t control everything, we can control how we respond. 💪 I’m not going to pretend that it’s easy. It’s not! But small challenges, in the grand scheme of things, are what build our resilience. So wherever you’re at, here’s to taking it one day, one hour or one minute at a time 💚 #CancerAwareness #MentalHealthFirstAid #WellbeingAtWork #Speaker
