Business Awards, often seen as a mere recognition of achievement, can be surprisingly effective tools for building strong industry connections. Business award ceremonies are more than just glamorous galas. They offer a unique platform for industry players to connect and build relationships. Award ceremonies typically attract a diverse range of attendees – established leaders, high-performing businesses, investors, and industry experts. These events often incorporate dedicated networking sessions, allowing participants to exchange ideas, share best practices, and explore potential synergies. Learn more ➡️ https://lnkd.in/g4Mai-kM

How can I advise people on NOT being boring with their marketing if I've NEVER done an exhibition for myself?! Sam Lindley was a brilliant person to do this with as she's so full of encouragement and is far more professional than me (I need to be balanced 😆) SO we offered riches and happiness (her) and free marketing advice (me). Exhibitions are great when they're so well run (massive thanks to Aaron Desmond) and so well attended (thanks to Aaron's amazing network!). The takeaways for me from this: 🎩DON'T BE BORING 🎉🎉🎉thinking outside the box is so much fun and gets noticed too 🎩Help people feel at ease and give them an opening or reason to talk to you 🎩Don't try to sell! Your aim should be making good connections and THAT'S the measure of success. 🎩Take the time to have a decent conversation I noticed there is that ever-present fear of being sold to, even at an exhibition. Remove that fear if you can, reassure that you want to know about them EVEN IF you're secretly dying to tell them how amazing you are.😆 No one starts a good relationship by feeling sold to - no one ever in the world. So give them free money 🤑and find out about THEM. Job done 🎩🎩🎩🎩

We know no boundaries as our service area spans much larger than the Triangle footprint. Participation in programs like this are crucial to gain awareness, build relationships, and spur innovation for what we can do together to improve our community. #BuildingConnectingInspiring #RegionalDevelopment #RelationshipsMatter #DurtherTogether
Your greater Apex Chamber of Commerce was pleased to represent at the Capital Analytics Invest Raleigh program hosted in downtown Raleigh. It’s always a good time to travel down from The Peak to experience the valley where downtown Raleigh is nestled. Great presentations and panelists from leaders like Raleigh Mayor Mary-Ann Baldwin, Steve Lawler, Curt Ladig, Keith Burns, Maha Lund, Brian Denisar, Nicole Sheedy and more! Bonus: great representation from other local chambers like Triangle East Chamber , Greater Durham Chamber of Commerce and Clayton Chamber of Commerce, partners in leading growth and development in the Triangle! Thanks to the Apex business leaders who joined in this great event put on by Abby Lindenberg, Shain Collins and Alexandra Ruiz Venegas: Chris McGee Maria Litzinger, CFP®, RICP®, AAMS™ DeEtte Damon Jerry Tellier Chris Cook Brent Brandow Karen Atiles, ICF PCC Cheryl Byrne Little Known Fact of the Day — the 29th floor of the City Club is almost equal elevation as Apex, NC, aka The Peak of Good Living. #LetsChamber

Hello Brand-/Client-side Design & business leaders... Mark you calendars... March 18, in Chicago. The Speaker Series... We had overwhelming interest in our first Speaker Series event last October. Almost 100 Design & business leaders from some of the world's most recognized brands & companies joined us for this inaugural event to connect, engage, and be inspired by each other. Hundreds more were unable to attend - and have, since - proactively requested to be a part of the next one. So, here is it! We are doing this again in Chicago on March 18th... with some improvements based on feedback from the first event. What remains consistent from the first Speaker Series event, last Oct: > David Butler - "My journey at Coke in becoming a design-driven company - the uncut version" > Fred Richards - "A crusade for better design briefs" > John Gleason - "What is Design... and why should we care?" > Panel Discussion on the future of Design > a room full of brand-/client-side Design & business leaders - your peers & colleagues in the industry... including several October Speaker Series "alumni" who have already committed to come back. > the amazing venue, food, drinks What will be new in March: > one additional speaker (more details when confirmed) > tighter presentations and "so what's" from each presenter This Speaker Series event also coincides with the International Housewares Show in Chicago. If you are coming for the Show, stay for the Speaker Series. We hope you might consider "joining the conversation"... whether experiencing the Speaker Series for the first time - OR - joining as an "alumnus" of the Oct Speaker Series event. If you joined us in October, and are considering whether to join AGAIN - the crowd of 'peers' will be different and the content will be even better. How often do you really get a chance to connect with, learn from, and be inspired by a room of your peers in the industry? Let me know if you have questions. Hope to see you in Chicago, in March.

What if you know that what got you here will not get you there. And what if you're an entrepreneur and your business Could get where you want to get to? Better. Healthier. Happier. I was not one for joining a networking network. And EOA (Entrepreneur Organisation Accelerator) isn't one. It showed me I had what it takes, and that everything is there. But in a slightly wrong spot, or built from an angle that should be sharper. And that I could be a better leader/employer. An ADD geek, I was terrible at that. Terrible. So; Come for an evening. Meet entrepreneurs that matter. And non one's a 'know it all'. But all have been there. All of us have grown knowing one thing: EOA helped us fly (better), or saved our life/business. Come for an evening, it's free. If you're interested: 10 reasons to join EOA: 1) You are profitable - but have no cash. That's normal, but does not have to be. 2) You are seeking tools to help you grow your business - not investment or financing. 3) You have been building your business for a long time, but still have not reached the US1million mark. 4) You know that what got you here will not get you there. 5) You wish that someone was there to hold you accountable. 6) You want to grow your business but do not know where to start. 7) You need investment to grow but do not want to give up ownership. 8) You wear all of the hats in your business. 9) You want an Entrepreneurial peer network to go to for support. 10) You want structured learning in the 4 key areas of business - people, cash, execution and strategy. Meet the entrepreneurial kindred spirits who become friends, grow and connect naturally. Break big barriers or ceilings, + Have the big laughs you need as well. cc: EO Accelerator Cape Town EO Cape Town Entrepreneurs' Organization
