Optimizing garment development processes with 3D & AI | Whispering the Secrets of Fashion Tech | Keynote Speaker & Fashion Geek

💡"Is Fashion Moving Back to Physical Samples?" This is the topic i'll tacke during the upcoming PI Apparel Europe Conference. 🤔This question has sparked lively debates in the fashion industry. 🎤I'm thrilled to announce that I' am among the featured speakers and I will have a pleasure to discuss why fashion companies are reverting to physical samples and how we can realign with Digital Product Creation (DPC) implementation strategies. 📊I've noticed a crucial gap in how fashion companies approach DPC. Often, there's a lack of comprehensive change management and a missing bottom-up approach. Additionally, many solutions look impressive but fail to address the real challenges our industry faces. 🚀So, how can we implement technology in a way that not only resonates with our employees but also delivers tangible financial value? 💬Join me as I explore these issues and share insights on integrating technology meaningfully into our workflows. I look forward to sharing my thoughts and hope to see you there for an engaging discussion! 📍 Where: Lake Maggiore, Italy 📅 When: 12th March 2024, 3:15 PM ❓What are your thoughts on the shift back to physical samples in fashion? ❓How do you think technology can be implemented effectively in our industry? 🏷️ #DigitalFashion #PIApparel2024 #InnovationInFashion #TechInFashion #FashionFuture Looking forward to seeing you at Lake Maggiore! 🌊🇮🇹

I always find your posts so interesting and thought provoking. At the moment I still think some physical samples are still essential. I am still learning to trust digital 3D samples and software and am used to checking over physical samples, plus I still make physical proto samples and I love crafting them together and assessing the finished sample. Part of me would feel sad if the skills and experience needed to make physical samples were lost because production sewing has a different focus and is often made by numerous people. But I think digital samples, especially making quick amendments, are so valuable and less wasteful. I guess I hope that generally, brands slow down and craft necessary and beautiful designs that have a real purpose and longevity, embracing physical and digital sample craftsmanship together.

Congrats on the speaking gig Sylwia Szymczyk ! I am nowhere near as savvy about th digital space as you, but I would argue that literally nothing by replaces a physical sample. They can coexist, and digital can supplement, but physical will always be needed.

Will you also discuss bags? From my perspective, the approach needs to be twisted a bit... Looking forward to your vision on this!
