Here’s yet one more reason to join us at the World HR Congress next week in Singapore. A lively discussion on three topics of interest to all #HR professionals: 1. What does having a business background mean to HR executives? 2. We are all talking about tech in our organizations: what does HR need to do about it and why? 3. Do “Zillenialls” need to be handled differently from an HR policy perspective? These are important conversations we need to have. When I earlier spoke to the amazing panelists - not surprisingly - we found that we had very different views! Come and hear what we have to say #WHRC2024 Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI) Institute for Human Resource Professionals (IHRP) Singapore Management University NUS Business School SHRM WorldatWork TR2050

Today is International HR Day with a focus of "Shaping the new future". With sub themes of: - Ethical use of technology - Future Workplaces - People Leadership - Continued innovation in skills and education These cover most areas of HR work and are central to the work we carry out day to day. In my role today, I met with colleagues online as part of a consultation, worked on the implementation of a new HRIS, led a team meeting, discussed some work issues and looked at training and development for staff who might not have funding for their roles later this year. In one day covering big parts of the key themes. All in a days work for an HR Professional! These aren't just HR Themes either, excelling in these areas can help organisation grow and flourish now and in the future, attract, select and retain talent in organisations and show investment in our people. Happy International HR Day to everyone who works in HR! https://lnkd.in/en-uMpnp

We have been working on HR Devolution for a while, building our strategy for a widespread human resources management that can be supportive of Group development. The concept that guides us is to enable employees to act like adults. How? Educating and supporting our people, starting from middle managers. We have just launched a program involving more than 40 managers with the aim of ensuring they know what are the HR tools, processes and guidelines to manage effectively their teams. The goal is to enhance productivity, sharing what we the HR function has created to ensure they are autonomous and independent in managing the employees, just following first of all the company values and culture and using all the HR tools. And when it comes to my Global HR team, we need to be aware of our new role. We’re not “the centre of HR management”, we’re a Strategic partner that guides functions and business to drive clarity on processes toward the organization. Zoya Velichkova, Sara Osti, Pierluigi Sanna, Salvatore Chiaia, Raquel Jiménez Rebollo Good inputs and ideas were raised together, isn’t it? #HRDevolution #GiGroupHolding #GlobalHR

What are the limiting factors for HR involvement? I found a report that is supported by AHRI (Australian Human Resource Institute). The report about State of the Human Resource Profession in Australia in 2020. Well written by four writers at different excellent uni in Australia. Australia's well-known work-life balance culture. Despite having WLB, HR in Australia has some factors that can be obstacles to HR involvement. The interesting point from that report retrieved information about the most limitation was the lack of understanding of the value of HRM to the bottom line by other parts of management (39%). Then, the lack of acceptance of senior managers (27%). After that, the lack of CEO support (19%), and the last one was unsympathetic organisational culture (15%). As an Indonesian and based on my experiences, I feel some of the four factors occur such as the lack of CEO support and organisational culture. So far these factors have been the main obstacles in some companies that I experienced. For the whole of the report, simply look at this document
