While growing up & after our Board Exams, we had choices like Science, Commerce & Humanities (called Arts at that time). Some of us may have liked Maths, but hated Physics like anything but still, we didn’t have any choice but to swallow PCMB. But now time has changed. There are interdisciplinary options & students can choose from different subjects from different cohorts & still achieve their goals. That goal can be different from the conventional ‘Doctors/Engineers’ as our present curriculum & pedagogy gives students this opportunity. https://lnkd.in/geB6DMfF

STEM education STEM education was easier when you could refer to the machines and devices that worked in our environment. Analyzing individual parts, looking for regularities in the movements of mechanisms allowed us to learn the principle of operation and often allowed us to determine the application. Today, breaking down a cell phone into its tiniest components will not allow one to learn the principle of operation. Analyzing the following photo, can you determine whether this is a fragment of a) a radial airplane engine b) a hat generator c) a water turbine ?
